:twitch: With Keith gone and the Ask Keith Baker Thread closed, I'm going through some serious withdrawals. Honestly, I just don't know how much longer I can keep things together. I NEED MY FIX MAN! I NEED MY FIX! I'm curious, how is everyone else holding up? :twitch:

Just write questions here and when Keith gets back, SMOTHER him in them. That'll teach him to try to have a life. Silly game designer!

Keith doesn't have a life. He's actually working at GenCon SoCal. :P Besides, I don't think it's fair to bombard him with questions. That's why they closed the thread in the first place. Maybe what we could do is wildly speculate about what we think his answers might be. I'll start:

Is an airship seaworthy enough to make a water landing?
Would the water cause problems for the fire elemental ring when they tried to take off again? --What if it were an air elemental?
Could either of them cruise on the surface instead of taking off?

No. The bottoms of oceangoing vessels are actually covered in pitch to make them water tight. Since an airship is not an oceangoing vessel, the manufacturers rarely bother to take these precautions. Meanwhile, the elemental ring leaves unsightly salt marks and calcium deposits on the hull due to the constant water evaporation occurring around it. Because of this threat of limescale, few airship captains are willing to risk a water landing. :ayyyy!:

Edit: Yeah, it sounded funnier in my head.

lol

Sounded funny to me too Dove. Good question though, considering I'm about to start an airship focused campaign. Your points, though funny, do make sense. Thanks for sharing that.
