05-01-06, 05:27 AM Hey guys, quick question.

Where is the blurb about the change to alignment restrictions in Eberron? I couldn't find it in the ECS (although I was only looking fast). Mostly wanted to check about a Paladin's alignment because I can't remember if they still need to start out as Lawful Good, their diety's alignment or whatever they wanted.

05-01-06, 05:40 AM The rules for paladins have not changed from those presented in PHB.
Only change to class alignments happened to clerics restriction on alignment and spells with alignment description was lifted.

05-01-06, 05:41 AM The only rules change to alignment (as far as I remember) is in he cleric section: a Cleric's alignment need not match the alignment of his god. Paladins, however, still need to be Lawful Good, or lose their powers.

The "fluff" change on alignment is more that the world is not divided into Good V Evil, and that someone Evil can still be on the side of what you may consider "good". So you don't kill 'em on sight just 'cos they show up on an evildar.

05-01-06, 07:08 AM Eberron Campaign setting: p35. Read under "Clerics and Corruption" regarding different alignments for clerics and breaking tenets of the gods. It specifies that these rules counteract those in the PHB

There is no such distinction for Paladins however. A DM may, as always, chose to houserule this.
