It comes, it comes on All Hallows Eve. So the spirits of the Thomasson tell me.

Hell's Heart.

Fitting since the adventure is set during Long Shadows. Just a few more days.

I take it this means we're finally going to get something both original and of high quality out of the DI? ;) I'm looking forward to the writing, though not so much to seeing how mangled the layout is going to end up.

I'm just hoping that the layout makes more sense in the end of the month PDF collection.

Where can I find the other two before this adventure? I checked Archived, but only found one other adventure.

They were published in Dungeon magazine before it got canned.

Part 2 appeared in the last issue.

Not sure about part 1, but it was probably within the same year.

You could order the back issues from paizo.com

The other two are in print issues of Dungeon magazine. Issues #133 (Chimes at Midnight), and #150 (Quoth the Raven). #150 just came out so should be easy enough to find over at Paizo.com, I don't know if #133 is sold out or still available. Hope this helps!

Happy Halloween Everyone!

It's available (http://paizo.com/store/magazines/dungeon/issues/2006/v5748btpy7y2o) as PDF (and appears to be in stock in print as well). 150 is available (http://paizo.com/store/magazines/dungeon/issues/2007/150) in print but not in PDF.

As I mentioned on ENWorld, I am inundated with spookiness tonight. Wolfgang Baur finally shipped his Open Design project PDF "Empire of Ghouls" and it arrived in my mailbox tonight as well.

Could you post the link to the adventure, when it's put on Insider?

I found it there this morning local time, but I haven't had a chance to read it yet. It's at http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/duad/20071031

Silly question, are there other Ebberon adventures in Dungeon magazines? We've been playing Eberron for almost a year now, and we're devouring the published adventures like candy!

Well, having finally gotten to read the adventure, I think it's pretty cool as far as plot goes. A damned fine conclusion to the trilogy. Extremely well done Mr Logue.

The messed up layout that's been the bane of the Dragon side of the DI isn't there - the PDF download is properly paginated and laid out. There's even a great 'cover' image and good artwork. About the only hassle I have with the adventure is the silly "split the encounter data from the area descriptions" thing that's been plaguing recent D&D releases, and which means lots of flipping pages to get the whole overview for an area.

What it really needs are bookmarks which give a description of page contents or headers rather than just the page number, and include in the actual page links between the area and encounter descriptions to make it easier to flip between them. If they're going to use an electronic format, why not make use of some of the advantages of it?

I just got the adventure, read through it and I think it's FREAKING BRILLIANT!

Only two complaints:
- They put all encounters in the back (a la "Expedition to the Castle Ravenloft v3.5") which means flipping back and forth.
- It didn't arrive in my mailbox in a nice magazine-shaped envelope.

seeing as how this adventure is totally awesome and I picked up the last Dungeon for the poster map, I went ahead and bought a .pdf from paizo with Chimes at Midnight. It's a really good adventure.

So I'm saying that they're really good.

These are maybe the seminal Eberron adventures. New DMs (especially new Eberron DMs) are probably better served by buying these modules than reading most of the available corpus of Eberron material.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Glad you dug the adventures. These were kind of my dream project. Three adventures titled with literary references to some of my favorite writers, all about a crazed inquisitive gone bad. I'm so glad I got to do these.

Don't worry I'm not done though! I hope to barrage poor Chris Thomasson's email inbox with more adventure proposals come Monday morning...here's hoping I get to write a few more Eberron adventures soon. I have two that are potentially much cooler than Viktor's Trilogy. My all time favorite proposal is in the works right now...I want to spill the beans sooooo bad, but that will probably tank its chances of getting accepted. Here's hoping!

Really dug the adventure Nick now that I had an oportunity to really poor over it, though my only concern would be the Knowledge Engineering and Archetecture rolls being the most obvious clues to not make yourselves some of the most vicious terrorists in recent history.

A knowledge skill I've rarely ever seen taken (besides the odd character who puts one rank in each knowledge skill just to be able to roll on them.)
