Galen_Michael 08-16-04, 06:46 PM	I'm considering allowing one of my PCs with the Mark of Sentinel to improve his mark (he's taking the Dragonmarked Heir prestige class) by selecting powers not covered in the book. Whether or not you agree with the idea of allowing alternate powers, I'd love to hear your input on these alternate powers, as far as appropriateness and balance are concerned: Least Alternatives: entropic shield or sanctuary 1/day Lesser Alternatives: spell immunity or repel vermin 1/day Greater Alternatives: repulsion or spell resistance 1/day I would also like to offer stoneskin as an option. Although the spell is only 4th level (putting it in line with several lesser dragonmark powers) I think that since it does not require the 500 gp material component, it would probably be more appropriate as a greater dragonmark power. Save_vs_DM 08-17-04, 12:54 AM	Other than repel vermin, I think they look all right. I also concur with stoneskin being a greater power. The only problem I have with some of these spells are flavor...most of them seem to useful to the mark bearer, where the mark of sentinel is suppose to be about protection of others. (Though I suspect that might be why you are offering the alternatives). It would make for a very tough and resilent bodyguard, however. Cheers, Save vs DM
