Taking the the idea of putting spellbooks in dragonsharads like the spellshards and the crytal-shape melee weapons or the rules in Complete Arcane for altenative spellbooks, and combine. You shape the spellshards into a staff or melee weapons. Can this be done? |

Taking the the idea of putting spellbooks in dragonsharads like the spellshards and the crytal-shape melee weapons or the rules in Complete Arcane for altenative spellbooks, and combine. You shape the spellshards into a staff or melee weapons. Can this be done? Probably, but I wouldn't. One good Sunder attempt and all your spells... :weep: A better way to do it would be to make your spellshards more innocuous, like embedded in a book, hidden in your boot, or in a lantern. Note that spellshards weigh a half a pound each. That's somewhat close to a fist sized amount of rock (unless spellshards are incredibly dense); so that's what you generally have to work with. |
