I'm redrawing the political landscape for my campaign's end. Basically, the climax of the campaign is the PCs will defeat the Lord of Blades in his city of warforged at the end of the conflict.

Contrary to arrousing the wrath of the survivors, the events in favor win the loyalty of all of his followers as the PCs then set up a popular warforged as "King" of the city.

Unlike the Lord of Blades, this warforged is interested in making the Mournland into it's own nation of warforged and living peacefully with human beings. However, they nevertheless want to definitely transform the land into a home for the warforged and also get ahold of the Forges to continue making their kind or replicate their own.

Basically, I was curious if anyone had any ideas about how the other nations would react to this emergence and also any sorts of trends or ideas on how to develop this slowly arising phenomenon.

The Emerald Claw work for Vol, but claim they are doing it for Karnnath. Who's to say they don't have their warforged mercs claim to be working for LoB?

I think that if any "king" of the warforged popped up, you'd get exactly what I have going on in my campaign where LoB really just wants a new homeland, but the powers that be are unintentionally collaborating a misinformation campaign. The whole "kill the fleshies" is a product of human fear and propogada, mostly out of fear that such a nation could secure a Forge and start up production.

I think nations would be glad to see the LOB fall, but afterwards, they still may try to exploit or harm your small nation either out of greed or mistrust.

Most countries would welcome a new, peaceful warforged messiah, but the creation forges aspect is really going to scare them. First, they probably won't trust you much as a new player on the international stage. Second, they were worried about the effects of a warforged army back when they drew up the treaty of Thronehold. Third, Cannith would regard that as theft, even if they're not supposed to use them they might want the materials back. Fourth, what of the theory that the Mourning was caused by the production of warforged.

Anyway. It could be done, but you'll have to play your cards right.

Well my first reaction would actually be that New Cyre would immediately want this thing stamped out. I think a warforged kingdom, especially one where they won't be quietly content to be slowly killed off is something they may get serious support to attack/destroy.

Other nations may not be so inclined to recognize its existence and it's claim over what remains of Cyre as well.
