I am currently brainstorming the effects of a future event in my campaign and I need some input:

The campaign is leading up to a big climax where the party as well as various other forces including the Emerald Claw/Blood of Vol, The Brelish Military, and the Chamber fight a massive battle in the skies above Sharn. It ends with a massive magical explosion that effectively nukes sharn and sends a magical shockwave across most of khorvaire.

Here are the direct effects I have planned so far:
- Sharn Destroyed
- The shockwave causes two new true dragonmarks to being appearing among Shifters and Changelings. Mark of Death also appears on a very select few individuals.
- Sharn, as well as a large area around it turn in to a sort of modified Wild Magic zone.
- Erandis d'Vol killed as well as many of the more powerful Blood of Vol and Emerald Claw members.
- Cannith South as well as Merrix d'Cannith (the last part presumably) are wiped out.

Secondary Effects: (Stuff for adventures/background after this happens)
- One nation or another plans/considers invading the now greatly weakened Breland. Possible war?
- Shifters and Changelings begin to form their own Dragonmarked house. Competition with dragonmarked houses possibly causes economic war between the other houses.
- The remaining two branches of House Cannith begin to go at it now that south is gone.
- Xen'drik is fairly cut off now that the main port to there (Sharn) is now gone.

Anyone have any comments or suggestions? Any other possible big effects that I am not thinking of?

Well the fact that all nations would have to reassure its citizens that magic is still safe would be one. Imagine the fuel the Ashbound sects would be getting from this.

- First, Whitehearth, now Sharn. Cannith are seen responsible for this. There is no proof, but that doesn't deter vigilantes, revenge seekers, and the Ashbound.
- Some clans of Darguun raid Breland and take slaves. With Breland preoccupied, they can get away with this.

I would have a strange new race emerge out of the ruins of Sharn. It can be something you want your players to be able to use, or it could be something that only you can use for something cool to fight the heroes.

I would also have the Daughters of Sorel lead their armies across the mountains and into Breland. Like, this is their big chance sort of deal.

And make Aberrant marks for all the races, or full out dragon marks if that is what you were intending for the shifters and changelings.

Sounds very cool though!
