HippoRider 02-16-05, 04:13 AM	I was looking through the sharn book and on page 111 i noticed an interesting picture. A group of dwarves and humans holding anti-warforged signs. I was wondering how visible would groups like this be in sharn(your sharn anyways). I have been enjoying playing as a warforged and think it might add to the expereince to have to deal wtih such groups especially if the extent of the encounter is wordplay and taunts. It would be a great addition to the background of the forgotten forge adventure I think to see these protestors after certain events unfold.
Streamweaver 02-16-05, 08:58 AM	I don't have many specific groups in my version of the world in general. Except for Sharn there aren't large number of warforged taking jobs and such in my opinion so outside of the city there isn't much need for organiztion. Generally speaking though I think it takes a significant roleplaying disadvantage to balance out Warforged. To that end I usually have most NPCs start with an unfriendly attitude toward warforged.
CzarGarrett 02-16-05, 10:22 AM	Organic Power!! I'm sure there's plenty of people out there who dislike/distrust Warforged. Especially people who fought against Warforged during the last war. I can just imagine a pair of soldiers who fought against Cyre and their Warforged Elites. After the war, then moved down to Sharn, and started anti-warforged movements. Attempts to have them declared non-sentient and approved to be destroyed upon sight. Then one day they're in a tavern and a group of adventurers, including a Warforged, walk in. I could see them leaving immediately and coming back in an hour with an angry mob bent on destroying the warforged.
ArdrikVeit 02-16-05, 07:12 PM	In the campaign I'm running right now, I've only had one encounter with anti-warforged groups, oddly enough we have no warforged in the group, but I just thought it'd be interesting. Sadly, my pcs didn't take the bait and investigate the group, they just blew them off. However, in an upcoming campaign that we plan to set entirely in sharn and have a very heavy focus on roleplay. My fellow dm and I are writing a storyline that deals very heavily with Racism and Forgism (i guess ya know racism towards warforged). In fact the main antagonist of one of the story arcs involves a psychotic human with a dark side. He has an alter ego that spends his night dressed as a warforged causing pain and suffering for the fleshies. Is he a madman, or is he trying to create an uprising against the warforged? It should be really interesting!
Kaleanae en'i Mori 02-16-05, 09:11 PM	I view warforged in Eb as second class citizens. I perhaps would place them about the same status the american-negro's had during the early to mid 20th century. No offense meant here of course. They were built for war and now its over, they are sentient but not flesh and blood. Having a Warforged Rights group in Sharn that was mentioned in a dragonshard was interesting, it also perhaps like the womens sufferage groups wantign the right to vote etc etc. They are a lower caste I guess who have served a purpose an as we know are trying to find their way in a society that no longer requires them.
