| Evenglare07-25-07, 06:23 AM | I dont know, but to me, Eberron seems to be ripped straight out of Final fantasy 9 or 12... Something about sharn and airships, and many different races. I was just wondering if anyone felt the same. And uses the music for their adventures. |
| Charles Phipps07-25-07, 06:35 AM | I use the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children soundtrack. Particularly, I've used Sephiroth's theme (both heavy metal and choir version) for the Lord of Blades. I've also used it for a few Radiant Cults fell rituals. Jenova I use as the theme for House Cannith facilities. |
| Gevuri07-25-07, 08:21 AM | I never have, tho not because I don't think it fits; I just don't have n e of the soundtracks, but after watching Advent Children and playing the games (not in that order lol) I could see how they would work really well. If you are possibly looking for more, I would suggest some of the Silent Hill soundtracks. SOME. The really trip-hop tracks are awesome for searches through Sharn and to a lesser extent, Karnath. Some of the weird soundscapes work well for Khyber descents and journeying through the Demon Wastes. Sorry, the end was a little off-topic |
| Alex_07-25-07, 12:14 PM | I sometimes hum the battle victory tune at the end of an interesting battle for a cheap laugh, but no, I don't typically use it. And no, Eberron was not ripped straight out of FF9 or FF12. It's ripped more out of Indianna Jones, the Maltese Falcon, Doc Savage, and Core D&D. |
| Edymnion07-25-07, 12:33 PM | don't have n e of the soundtracksOuch, that hurt. Honestly, whats the point of doing that when you put spaces in it to where it takes just as many keystrokes to type as actually spelling the word out would have? |
| Nashad d'Thuranni07-25-07, 02:27 PM | I'm a big fan of using soundtracks in Eberron campaigns, I even use the Indianna Jones theme song when we're recapping the last session (like it's a 'previously on Eberron' tune :) ) Other very usefull soundtracks and songs: Castlevania - vampire hunter (selfmade metal version) very usefull when we played Whispers of the Vampire Blade The Tavern tune of the World of Warcraft Soundtrack For any inn actually Vincent's Theme from FFVII When interacting with the dreaming dark (or dreaming) Soundtracks: Pirates of the Caribbean Moonlight Syndicate The Eberron Soundtrack (duh) Band of Brothers Further, I try to download (free songs of course, don't accuse me of stealing music  ) ambient music per scenario. African drums for talenta plains, baroque for Karrnath, etc. |
| Charles Phipps07-25-07, 02:30 PM | Castlevania Bloody Tears is the official theme song of King Kaius in our games. |
| gleicher2707-25-07, 03:11 PM | We listen too: Conan the Barbarian Conan the Destroyer Scorpion King Kull Sharn Eberron CD Van Helsing D&D CD: by Midnight Syndicate Reign of Fire D&D Movie CD Lord of the Rings (All three CDs) These form the core of our collection so far. I need to get more, and some of the CDs have gotten old (or the players have) that they are skipping :( There are a few more like Brom Stoker's Dracula that gets tossed on as well, but no final fantasy :(. Though if some one could link me to some music files I would be happy to sample them :) |
| Evenglare07-25-07, 04:09 PM | Yeah, i use a bunch of OC remix junk. Im sorry if i implied that Eberron was ripped from a final fantasy game. I just feel it gives off the atmosphere of those games. Which is why i use the sound tracks... |
| Ezram07-25-07, 10:01 PM | Eberron seems closer to FF VI to me |
