Pencil version of a character class illustration I did for an upcoming PDF from Ronin Arts. Not specifically Eberron art but close enough. ;)

Sweet! I love your work! Some of your best stuff was in Deeds not Words (in my opinion), but that is for another board and another time.

What is your favorite Eberron race to draw? I would personally like to see more Shifter stuff.

*gasp* Its Merrix d'Cannith. With the wrench hanging from his belt and the goggles around his neck and everything.

Just call me Prophecy Boy.

Probably the Warforged although the Shifters are fun to draw too. I really want to try a Talenta Halfling piece one of these days...

Awesome! I've visited your site before and really like your drawings. Hey, after seeing http://www.yodaboys.com/ranger.jpg I may have to add an eyepatch to my Shifter ranger/barbarian. :D You rock!

Once again you amaze us with your skills as an artist

You're a lucky man DMAC in that I don't believe in the old legend that eating a persons brain gives you his skills :angelhide

I'm all giddy with excitment! More, must have more!

Your Warforged are cool, especially your Warforged inquisitive, with the built in lens and all. I might have to build him as a character. :plotting:

Ah HA!!!

What DMAC doesn't want us to know is that is real last name is d'Mac, and he is really a gnome of house Sivis using his dragonmark abilites to create outstanding art to bring joy and imagination to people throughout the five nations.

Actually, I've been statting out all of DMAC's portraits as he produces them - I've gotten some cool ideas from them, including a few short stories and such.

Snow-in-Dusk has made a recent appearance in my game, the PCs don't know if she is friend or foe yet (in truth, she could be either at this point), all they know is she's so much more powerful than they are. (like more than 8 levels higher)

Currently, my wife was actually inspired by Snow-in-Dusk (she loves the portrait). I helped her a bit with the background, but ehre it is.

Ayulfa Dawn - Female Shifter Monk

Aylufa was born into a large family of shifters in the Eldeen Reaches. The entire extended family lived in a rather large hut and farmed for a living. Aylufa’s childhood was filled with hard work and small meals, the result of being the youngest in a farming family. When Aylufa was seven she was apprenticed to a local Kalashtar named Valharath, in order to help the family spread their food a bit more. Valharath was old and in need of help in some chores, so Aylufa began to help him in return for a meal and a roof over her head. At first Aylufa was curious and frightened of her new master, but she quickly grew to appreciate the quiet kindness of the old man. As she grew and began to show some athletic prowess, Valharath began to have her perform stranger and stranger chores. After a while Aylufa began to realize that some of these chores imparted a strange sort of wisdom. This went on for many years, until Aylufa reached the age of sixteen. It was then that Valharath began to teach her the martial arts in earnest. Aylufa, used to a life of hardship, took to the life of a monk with quiet ease. Her insight and quick reflexes served her well as Valharath taught her of combat and the Path of Light. At first Aylufa was confused about this strange new religion but she eventually embraced it. She studied with Valharath for twelve more years, learning all of the skills that he could teach her. On the end of her twelfth year Valharath handed Aylufa a belt pouched filled with a small amount of coin and a few other possessions, along with his old Kama. He told her that to complete her training she must spend many years on a journey of personal discovery. So Aylufa departed from her master, which had been more of a father to her than her family, and left for Sharn.

Personally I'd love to see a Kalashtar Psychci Warrior portrait based off my new character.

Standing six feet three inches tall, heavily muscled and lithe, Kanatash could be mistaken for a good looking human. On closer inspection his features are just a little too angular and perfect, and his mannerisms and dress are a bit too odd. Kanatash is wrapped form head to toe in pastel colored silks of varying colors, making it hard to tell just what race he is under all the wrappings. He wears a pair of dark crystal lenses over his eyes, obscuring their strange color. A large and strangely shaped greatsword is strapped to his back along with an unstrong composite longbow. Underneath his layers of clothing he wears a mithral chain shirt that has protected him well over the years, enough for him to start calling it Undefeated. The blade he carries is Masamune, a Reidran Crysteel greatsword infused with psionic magic. It resonates with power whenever he holds it, and hums slightly when he swings it. His longbow is called Luin, a gift from a passing kalashtar Psion.

Kanatash was raised in a secluded monastery in Adar by a sect of fellow kalashtar. From an early age it was apparent that Kanatash possed great physical strength, speed and stamina as well as a keen and insightful mind. The warriors of the monastery began training him when he was young, and he developed into a formidable psychic warrior. As he aged he began to guard the monastery as well, protecting it from the inspired. Upon his 22nd nameday, he left the monastery in order to take the fight to the inspired. The monks of the monastery gifted him with Masamune, a powerful Reidran Crysteel greatsword, and Kanatash wields it with pride. Kanatash traveled for years, always fighting the inspired to the best of his abilities. Many fell under his blade, but he found little joy in the work. Yet when he traveled to Khorvaire he discovered many other races that fascinated him. He began to feel sympathy for many of them, helping them where they might need it. Though few understood who he was or what he did, they were thankful for his help. Kanatash continues to travel the world, seeking others to aid and perhaps those he might call friends and allies.

Or even one for my favorite new character, Roland d'Medani

Roland stands five feet six inches tall with a lean but muscular build. He has deep green eyes and black, should length hair with white at the temples. Many women consider him handsome and his refined manner and speech mark him as an education man. He is clean shaven and well groomed at nearly all times. He wears a long leather trench coat that serves as protection from blade and elements alike. He carries a small array of belt pouches filled with various inquisitive supplies. He wears dark leather gloves at all times, to protect the evidence. He carries an ornate wooden cane that conceals a rapier for use in the rare combats. A hand crossbow rides at his hip, though it is rarely used. He wears finely tooled green leather boots tipped in silver. Roland tends to observe first and speak later, trying to get a feel for anyone new before he passes judgment. He is physically fit and in good health, though far from exceptional in the areas of physical prowess. Roland fights with words and logic whenever possible, resorting to weapons as a last possible defense. He is clever, astute and quite charming, all of which he uses to best possible effect whenever possible.

Roland was born to two Khoravar parents loyal to house Medani. His father, Cecil, a marked member of the house, worked as a guard in the Medani enclave. His mother, Gwen, an unmarked member of the house, was a musical instructor and talented harp player. They were supported by the house Medani and a rather large extended family. Roland’s childhood was one of comfort, ease and intellectual acumen. It was clear from a young age that Roland had inherited his father’s inquisitive nature and his mother’s singing voice. During the day he would train with his mother or listen in on her lessons and during the night he would listen to his father’s tales of intrigue and criminal activity. When Roland was seven his baby sister Shaedra was born. Roland began to look after her much of the time, and the two quickly started creating secret languages and other small children’s games. It was quite clear from a young age that Shaedra was a very talented musician. The two siblings spent long hours under the tutelage of their mother, honing their musical ability. As Roland grew he began to loose interest in music and began to focus much more on criminology and the duties of house Medani. Roland began to spend more time with his father than his mother, trailing him on investigations. He continued his research as he worked with his father, up until he was the age of sixteen. At the age of sixteen, while working with his father on a case, he began to pick up certain clues that his father began missing. He alerted his father to them, and his father consented to let Roland search the area himself. It wasn’t long before Roland had pieced together what had happened and told his father. His father agreed and the two of them together began to track down the killer and bring him to justice. This was the end of Roland’s childhood and the start of his adult life. He spent the next several years working beside his father as an Inquisitive. His read mind and quick eyes picked up small details most people missed and his way with words could quickly coax information from otherwise tight-lipped suspects. He worked well with his father, a more physical and intimidating man than Roland. Roland’s apprenticeship lasted for eight years. He was officially declared a full inquisitive when he solved a brutal double murder of two noblewomen. After being declared a full inquisitive Roland left for Sharn to better serve House Medani. While he has not manifested a mark yet, he does consider himself to be an important member of the house. He has worked in Sharn all this time, quietly solving crimes for the house and freelance customers. This has been the early life of Roland d’Medani. He now patrols the towers of Sharn, searching for clues and answers to the worst crimes of humanity.

(Roland was loosely based on your drawing of that steampunk flying ace)

These give you anything DMAC?

IMC, the party encountered an incoherant, starved to madness shifter who proceeded to try and make lunch out of the party druid. Much later, a kalashtar psion PC joined the group. As she was entering Sharn, she encountered Snow-in-Dusk, who saw the PCs heading toward the last place she saw her brother, and has questions... So far she's helped the kalashtar fend off a rogue demon, and prevented a zealous silver flame assassin from killing three possessed team members. But they have left Sharn now, before she could ask them anything. Possibly a bad choice? We shall see...
