Jason_Sunday 06-18-04, 01:47 PM	I was kinda sad to see that there was only one kalashtar and one changling pic in the whole book. There is alot more warforged and shifter pics. Is there a reason for this? I really have a hard time getting the feel of what a kalashtar's clothing would look like. The pic that is there is not very detailed. :mad: Anyway great book otherwise.:D
Moleculor 06-18-04, 02:28 PM	Well, since a changeling can pretty much look like anyone he wants to, it makes sense to not have very many pictures of one. I have to agree about the Kalashtar though.

That's why there's pictures of them EVERYWHERE. Every humanoid in the book is a changeling. Didn't you know?

JohnnyONeal 06-18-04, 03:27 PM	I guess the main issue there is that changelings can look like anything, and kalashtar look pretty much like humans. However, they do seem to have a distinctive style, which you also see in the Inspired. The following pictures are of kalashtar or Inspired: http://www.coveworld.net/eberron/311cu1.gif http://www.coveworld.net/eberron/311cu3.gif http://www.coveworld.net/eberron/317art7.jpg http://www.coveworld.net/eberron/317art8.jpg Both Inspired and kalashtar seem to be primarily dark-haired, with tan to brown skin. (I detect a bit of an Indian ethnic vibe in the concept art.) They have a flowing, unearthly sense of style (also visible in their architecture (http://www.coveworld.net/eberron/315art05.jpg)). On a related subject, I was really surprised to see that more of the excellent concept art (http://www.coveworld.net/eberron/gallery.html) didn't appear as finalized work in the CSB. I would have liked to see more work by Mark Tedin and Steve Prescott in the final book. (I can't think of an image that's packed with more Eberron-ness than Steve's "A typical party of adventurers" picture.)

Harmony's Sorrow 06-18-04, 03:53 PM	The only pic I remember seeing on the Inspired, had purple hair in the CSB, and it stated the inspired usually have purple eyes. After all these years I realize Drizzt DoUrden was an inspired assassin playing the good guy!!! Oh the irony of it all!

Jhaelen 06-18-04, 05:03 PM	regarding changelings (imho the coolest new race introduced with Eberron): Somehow the concept of identification papers is pretty useless for them. How would their physical description look like? There's simply no way to reliably identify them! I guess it would be quite easy for them to carry lots of different identification papers with them, one for each of their favorite alternate personalities :-)

O and some fast to change clothes, I don't think that changelings change shape should affect equipment, though disguise self does and the changeling description doesn't state it doesn't.
