[ART] Scrap: Warforged Sorcerer [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-21-05, 01:43 AM I posted the rough pencils for this piece in my female warforged thread. He's a warforged sorcerer made up of parts assembled from different warforged bodies. It's a character portrait for TheShark™ over at The Hoffman Studio (http://www.thehoffmanstudio.com), home of the Starting Now podcast. They have an Eberron PBP game going on their message boards and Scrap is one of the PCs.

Thanks for the kind words. Glad to hear you guys dig it. A 'forged bard might be fun. I had started doing sketches for a sort of warforged "one man band" a while back... I've also been thinking of doing something with a Talenta halfling dinosaur rider.

11-22-05, 10:56 AM Yeah, I have the high rez version of this and am going to get a mini-poster made up of it and posted in the game room.

EXCELLENT work!

And yeah, his charisma is pretty low. In part based off of his eerie appearance and in part based off of his strange creation process.

I can picture his left eye (blue one) closing like a shutter instead of blinking.

DMAC's illustration is based off of a brief and vague description, one of the coolest things about this illustration to me is that he took the description and REALLY brought him to life.

Either he did EXACTLY what I had in mind, or his illustration completely eclipsed my initial thoughts to the point where I can't even recall the original idea. Now that's powerful art!
