For anyone who's read "The Shattered Land" (I'm not quite done yet but I am really digging it), Lei does something in the book and I don't understand how she accomplished it. When they are getting ready to steal the Scale Sheild from the Sorcerer, Lakashtai leads the party to a field that is above the cave they want to go to. She then asks Lei to Teleport them down there and Lei does... but how does she? Looking over the Artificer infusion list, there does not seem to be a way for an Artificer to do this on the fly like Lei does. Sure she could make a Wand of Teleportation or something, but that would take time and in the book she manages it in a few moments. I thought for a second that she used a Spell Storing Item Infusion to do it, but that only allows for spells up to 4th level... so no Teleport there. Maybe there is an Infusion in another supplement that I have not read, or maybe it is explained later in the book, (like I said I haven't finished it yet) but I'm just curious if anyone can figure out how she might have done this. (I understand that Mr. Baker himself frequents these boards, since he wrote the book, I'm sure he knows how she did it. ;) ) Anyway... what do you all think? |
