| Germytech03-13-06, 07:18 PM | I don't doubt this thread has most likely been up before, but I haven't seen one in a while, and I couldn't find it on the board. Baker's Dozen: The numerous coincidences in the Eberron Campaign Setting where some concept numbers twelve, with their actually being thirteen. This thread will be a compiled list devoted to what people can find that matches this Eberron theme. Here are some obvious ones to start: Twelve dragonmarks, with the lost Thirteenth Mark of Death. Twelve dragonmarks, but thirteen Houses to represent them. Twelve planes in contact with Eberron, with a thirteenth, Xoriat currently severed. Twelve moons, with a thirteenth "lost" or unseen moon. Twelve nations that signed the treaty ending the Last War, Cyre is a thirteenth nation that no longer exists. And some Baker's Dozens that might be considered a stretch. Twelve original classes in the PHB, the artificer is the thirteenth "core class." Twelve common true races in Eberron (human, half-elf, half-orc, halfling, gnome, elf, dwarf, kalashtar, inspired, changeling, shifter, goblin), and a thirteenth that is not truly living (warforged). What has everyone else noticed? |

| Tom McCarthy03-14-06, 10:31 AM | There are 9 night hags in the Demon Wastes and 3 hags ruling Droaam. But no one knows where Sora Kell is. (The miscellaneous green hags of the Shadow Marches may spoil this one) There are hints that the Sovereign Host once numbered 13, that the draconic pantheon once numbered 13, that there were 13 types or colours of dragons (if you counted dracoliches), that there were 13 alphabets. There were 13 dwarven clans, but one was lost. |
| UnkemptSage03-14-06, 01:10 PM | One of the guys I play with had 13 brain cells and lost one the other night, but that's a completely unrelated issue. |
