smrtgmp 07-08-04, 12:00 AM	It seemed like we had a pretty good conversation going on the original thread before it got closed down because of one bad apple (grrr...). So...for those of you who want to keep it going, here it is. I implore you all to keep things civil. Its fine to argue and disagree, but lets refrain from personal attacks, shall we? They accomplish nothing, other than angering the Wiz_Os. For those of you who may have missed the first thread, we were basically discussing what we like about the new setting. I started off by saying that I was pleasantly suprised by how well put together Eberron is, and the conversation went from there. I would provide a link to the original thread, but I'm not sure what the rules are concidering posting links to closed threads, so I'm not going to do it. Oh, and Wiz_O Sith: thank you for stepping in quickly befor things got too out of hand. Seems like a lot of the Wiz_O's dont do that. Viriato 07-08-04, 08:24 PM	Um, that's still wrong, "wroth" being an adjective and all... it's pretty much like saying "ogle like the beautiful of Nature revealed" or "fear like the terrible of Evil revisited".

Anyways, i'll try to stay on topic Eberron was better than i expected in places and worse than i expected in others. It caught the flavor of the world perfectly, but it was missing info on Xen'drik, like where Stormreach actually is, and the lack of info on the drow cultures. Also I wish more and more for and underwater campaign, so having more information on the underwater cultures would be useful. But It did do a good job with the new races. They fit into the society quite well, and are very neat. Plus the stuff with the monstrous races is very cool.

I've got the distinct impression a lot of things were left out about the other continenets because they have just about as much to say about them as they did about Khorvaire and we know how long that took to explain. I also have the impression a lot was left out to let us wonder about things more and not to depend on the book too much, plus they'll definetly be releasing a lot more information on later dates. king_of_evil007 07-09-04, 03:52 PM	I assumed that Xen'Drik (did I spell that right?) don't have comprehensive maps because a lot of emphasis seems to be placed on finding unknown ruins and stuff there, so it wouldn't make sense to have everything detailed with GPS coordinates.
