Between WotVB and GotEM- What to do? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-15-05, 07:05 PM Seeing as how there's a 2-3 level gap between Whispers of the Vampire's Blade and Grasp of the Emerald Claw, I was curious to see what other DM's have used as storylines between the adventures.

I have some mixed ideas for my group and am still deciding which to use. They're currently about 3/4 of the way through WotVB (on the airship). Here's the party:

Sharis, male Seren human druid 4. Amnesiac with a mysterious connection to draconic magic.

Tomi Deneith, male human fighter 4. Gray Blade of House Deneith and a native of the Sharn conclave. You know where this one leads to if you have the Sharn book, people.

Eadron, male human ranger 4. Former Brelish soldier, currently a member of the Sharn city guard and a potential Dark Lantern.

Some potential hooks I'm thinking about:

Party is contacted by the Lhesh Haruuc of Darguun, who wants the PC's to guard an expedition of Dhakaani to the Khraal Rainforest and attempt to establish a settlement. (Harsh and unlikely mission, but my rationale: The ever dependable Tomi Deneith stirred up some major drek in the Bloody Market in SotLW. Long story short; he took a prominent goblin merchant hostage at knifepoint and only escaped by calling on his House Deneith connections and more then a few bags of golden galifars).

Party is sent into Droaam by agents of the King's Citadel to investigate rumors of the Dark Pack as a possible prelude to war between Breland and Droaam.

The druids of Sharn inform the party of a possible alliance between a Cult of the Dragon Below and a radiant idol within the depths of Sharn that could spell disaster for the residents of the lower city.

Yep, my bad.

I've done so much tweaking to the two adventures that I forgot the original levels... man, that's sad.

That said... does anyone else have any adventure hooks to share?

08-17-05, 07:33 PM 4. The PC's are hired to act as the guards and adventurers for a trip into the Talenta Plains for a group of Scholars. They wish to travel to the southern area of the blade desert, near Valenar, where an ancient temple has been discovered.
