Book Character Stats [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-05-06, 01:33 AM Okay, I'm planning to put the monk from Orb of Xoriat, Diran and Ghaji from the Thieves of Blood, and Lei and co from Keith's Dreaming Dark series in my campaign as kind of pass through characters. Anyone want to help me stat em?

If any of the authors want to give me a hand, I'd appreciate it. Keith has given me the halfing and Lei's classes, but I've got no estimates for levels.

07-05-06, 02:55 AM It's been mentioned Lei had to be eight level to do something she did in city of towers. Don't know what though.

The fact Teron has Improved Disarm implies he has at least six levels in monk, in addition to his levels in the Quiet Touch Adept PrC he's always been mentioning over at the now defunct Essential Eberron boards.

07-05-06, 07:36 AM you could always head over to Keith Baker's webpage and ask him for stats on the characters from his novels...

no guarantee he'd give themto you, but it would be worth asking.

Also, ask yourself why you are putting the characters in the campaign. Is it to ally with the PC's or fight against them? Or is it just to put cameo appearances? If they aren't going to really take part in the campaign, why stat them out? I've always played by the idea that if you stat something out, it means you are intending for the PC's to fight it.

As for why... Mostly just cameo appearences. I enjoyed the characters a lot when I was reading the books, and I think just having them walk through would be neat. With my players, though, ya never know if they might pick a fight or come up with perfectly reasonable requests for help (especially to Diran and Ghaji) and then I'll have to have stats for em. Also, I just like to have stats on hand for any given NPC in my game.

Keith has said the Jode is the Healer class, and that Lei is an artificer, yes.

07-09-06, 04:35 PM Well, it almost seemed like Terjon might have Enlightened Fist levels the way he combined Sorcerer powers with his monk stuff.
