"Some Assembly Required" - A necromancer has raised his elder brother as an intelligent undead... but now his brother wants a mate... made to spec!

Can the PC's save them? or "the Pack" - PC's are hired to rid the town of an usually persistent wolf pack. While fighting the pack a PC gets bitten. As each day comes closer and closer to a full moon the PC begins to act...strange. Can the heroes figure out his problem and the cure before it's too late? I know, it's not exactly the plot as written, but I've look at the title for the episodes and let that inspire me. Yeah, BtVS, was great and SO many nice story ideas to steal.

Heh, second season IS superior... but I'm only 2 eps into it after being away from buffy for almost 8 years now... Anyway, I liked The Puppet Show... it was an interesting twist on the whole "evil puppet" cliche. It could have used a better ending sequence, or another couple potential double crosses, but I think it was solid as a general Eberron plot idea...
MarkB 11-03-04, 12:07 PM	Season two goodies: The Order of Turaka from "What's My Line?" - this would be great in Eberron. An order of assassins that allows absolutely anyone or anything to join - if they can make the grade. I'd imagine them as a monastic order somewhwere in Droaam, using the Monastic Training feat to allow multiclassing as rogues before progressing to the Assassin PrC. The Judge from "Surprise/Innocence" - I'd love to stat this guy out as an Eberron baddie, lots of DR and an "unholy touch" supernatural ability that inflicts Unholy damage on victims and lets him absorb experience from them if they die. Let him absorb too much and he'll level up to the point where his unholy touch becomes an unholy aura, allowing him to destroy good beings at increasingly long range. Troll-like regeneration, except that he's fully immune to fire and acid, but must re-attach severed limbs instead of regrowing them. The only way to contain him is by inflicting enough damage to put him down, then carving him into chunks for separate storage. Eyghon from "The Dark Age" - I think Eyghon works perfectly as a Quori spirit, one whose powers of possession were once tapped in reverse by a group of young and foolish spellcasters seeking a good time. Now it's found a way to return, possessing and destroying each of them in turn. "I Only Have Eyes For You" is one of the best templates around for a 'haunted house' mystery - find the pattern to the haunting, use the clues to solve the mystery, find a way to bring peace to the spirits - all the while evading their infuriated manifestations, and perhaps more physical dangers from those who already know the truth, and have good reason to want it left buried. The demon (can't remember its name) from "Becoming" could be converted quite neatly for Eberron - imagine an ancient fiend transformed to stone and sealed by the Gatekeepers thousands of years ago. If the seal is broken it has the strength to exert its will even in its stone form, and can cast a spell which will draw all of Khorvaire down into Khyber. To re-seal it will require the sacrifice, willing or otherwise, of a blood descendent of the Gatekeeper orc who originally created the seal.
dentris 11-03-04, 12:14 PM	I'm not an avid fan of Buffy, but I remember one villain I really like, the Fear Demon: An illithid cult tries to bring from Xoriat a powerful demon to restore the Daelkyrs to power. The players destroy the illithid, but cannot prevent the summoning of the Fear Demon, a normal Quasit.
