Some spoilers for QwBE, so beware... OK finishing the Queen with Burnign Eyes in the session last night, the party ended up giving an agent of the Emerald Claw (they didnt knowof his affiliation) back an amulet he had lost. THis item was the key to a location in Xendrik (details not given in the module). The party had done some research on the amulet (which was inscribed with a map of Xendrik coastline centred around Stormreach) and even made a mold to make a copy. When they handed it over, they quizzed the agent about his link to Xendrik, and asked to be part of any voyage. He was very tight lipped and basiclly paid the party off before leaving with the amulet. I'd been expecting that agent to hav to ambush the party to retrieve the amulet, but now the situation is quite different. They want to work for him, unsuspecting of his links to the E.C.. The module states that the agent is disdaining of the party and theinks they are weak, so bringing them along on a trip like this could be quite good fun. But the way they talked about Xendrik when they handed the amulet over, I had the agent act very suspicious of them - wondering how much they knew and who they were working for. So He might not trust the party enough to work with them. But it would be a good reason to keep them close and keep an eye on them. Now, I'd planned to move striaght into SotLW after QwBE, and the party have just stumbled into a beat-up House Sivis message station as the start of SotLW. But they are more buzzing about a trip to Xendrik (one of the party is of house Tharashk and has heard through the grapevine that the agent they met is looking for guides). So 1. how to best deal with this? Do SotLW and then the trip? 2. Any ideas for what the amulet opens? And why the E.C. are interested? I have some vague plans, but seems like they might have to become more concreate faste rthan i expected...
