geminiknightii 10-02-04, 04:23 PM	Working up the next adventure for my group after they just finished up with Shadows of the Last War. Taking a brief break before hitting them up with Whispers, particularly because the poor druid was feeling deprived after all that time in the mournlands, with next to no kind of natural wildlife. Anywho, because of the loops the party took the adventure for, they're currently in the NE corner of Breland, in the town of Starilaskur, resting up for the trip and awaiting word from House d'Cannith so they can report their results. (Not gonna be happy, considering they took the option I gave them to destroy the schemas and creation pattern..they viewed it as a weapon too great to put in anyone's hands.) But again, I digress... Basically, a group of Thrane Inquisitors are in town, hunting down a kidnapper that's fled into Breland. The long and the short of it is that about 6 years ago, a Thrane soldier's patrol was attacked by a werewolf, and he was the sole survivor, though infected by the were. It took the man several years to get control over his curse, and recently he's returned home to Thrane. Unfortunately for him, since he was gone and presume dead, his wife has remarried..and worse, to a hardcore Flamer, who believes all shifters are pure evil, and who has brainwashed the wife to that party line. After a lot of pleading, the soldier eventually appealed to his 2 children, one girl of about 7 who was born just before he left, and his son, of around 12. The girl was terrified of her father, but the boy wanted to go with him, and the two fled into Breland. The two set up a small farm in the forests outside of Starilaskur, and have been making it just barely so far. The druid will encounter the farm while she's out communing with the forest, while the rest of the party is going to meet the inquisitor's in town. The Flamer's are led by a paladin who actually lives up to the name, while some of his followers are well...not so pure of heart, and wouldn't mind administering justice here instead of taking the boy and were back to Thrane for trial. And the party gets to chose whose side they're going to take. With one shifter in the party, and previous bad experiences with the law, they're going to be biased in the were's favor, so it should be interesting. Any thoughts?
SirLoin 10-02-04, 05:39 PM	Flamer, hehe i just love the use of that word. Umm the only catch I see is if you have a non-responsive group like i have whom are not so willing to participate in the activity which does not concern them. Maybe make one of the children a shifter and have the 'Flamer' kidnap him/her as a hostage or as a means to draw out the werewolf guy. That might arouse at least the goodly people in the party as well as the shifter.
