(and other loot) Which leads to a related question. To use Sharn as an example, the Middle Menthis Plateau has the following as part of its initial definition: Businesses: Varied, from posh magic item dealers to run-down general stores; gold piece limit: 40,000 gp; the limit in Everbright is 100,000 gp for magic items only. In the Players Handbook v.3.5 it says you can sell loot for half its value. Do the above limits refer to value of an object before or after this half-value? For example, I have a Large Shield +2 with Spell Resistance 13, Acid Resistance 10, and Ghost Touch. Adding up all the modifiers listed in the DMG, its value is 100,000 gp. Does someone get 50,000 gp if they sell it? Or 100,000 gp? And by that value, would this fit into the above limit for Everbright? As a side question, the "standard format" of Sharn by the Numbers on P.9 of the Sharn book... are those parameters from the DMG v.3.5? Thanks for the help :tiphat: |

Do the above limits refer to value of an object before or after this half-value?To my knowledge, the gp limits are on what you can buy, not what you can sell. But if it does apply to selling as well, then it would apply to the half price, as thats how much you're actually getting in one place at one time. |
