I know this was brought up before, but with the search down I can't find the thread and using google's advance doesn't locate it either :|

So, my group is about to complete Whispers in about a week, then onto Grasp. Now I sit deciding what route to go afters. I'd like to see what everyone else has been doing / is planning to do in order to get some ideas. I'm really loving the plot and feel of the modules and wanting to follow them in theme and context.

Well, you want to go suitably epic. 8th-level is supposed to be pretty high for Eberron after all. I'm taking it for a given that, even if not known to every commoner everywhere, perhaps not even to a few in some places, the PCs are actually very well known "within some circles."

In particular, the Aurum and the Order of the Emerald Claw may want to start recruiting them to do their dirty work. Without the PCs exactly knowing it of course.

When the characters complete Grasp of the Emerald Claw, you will have the following hooks to use:

The Enmity of the Emerald Claw
The Attention of the Dragon Vuulaytherus
The Enmity of the Lord of Blades
Either the Gratitude or Enmity of House Cannith
An possibly the respect of the King's Dark Lanterns

You can follow up on any, even multiple, of these to continue the party's career in Eberron.

My party was not sure what they wanted to do so I ran them through some random stuff from The Korranberg Chronicle (http://www.kchronicle.com/) . After that, I found something that I really wanted to do and began having them hunt Vangradaun the Black (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=5560087#post5560087), they seem to enjoy it and thats good considering they can't really confront him at their current level. It gives them lots to do with a vague goal that makes it seem worth while.

Look into my Tomb of Agnomon (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=400262) thread, it's an adventure under development I intend to start after Grasp of the Emerald Claw. You can use the ideas to build upon. If you help me flesh it out, who knows maybe it will be ready in time for your group. (I still have lots of time since we still have to start The Forgotten Forge)

Actually, I'm taking a slightly different tack: rather than use SotLW and
GotEC as is, I will likely have my players go through them as agents of
Cannith East, acting in place of Garrow & Company to obtain the pieces
of the schema, and play out obtaining the third piece that, in the 'official
version' happens off-screen (probably by heading into the Mournland).
I am basing my campaign in Karrnath & the Mror Holds, so I can't use
the adventures 'as is', but do want to use them in some manner (especially
GotEC, since I find it to be my favorite of the canned Eberron mods
so far).

I think that's a pretty good summary of the loose plot ends with which you can work once you've finished the published sequence.

Another thing you can do is to look to the party members and see how any of their affiliations might suggest future adventures. One of the PCs in my campaign is a Gatekeeper druid, so I'll work in an adventure involving a Cult of the Dragon Below and maybe even conclude the campaign with a foray into Khyber and a showdown with a daelkyr.

I also have my players prepare back stories for their characters which explain where they're from, how they came to be members of their class and what motivated them to become adventurers. Most players enjoy doing that and these stories often provide good plot hooks. One of the PCs in my party, for example, decided that his character became an adventurer because he was unfairly exiled from his community. I may give him a chance for payback.

As Alextroy points out, once your party completes GotEC, they'll either have done House Cannith a big favor or gained their enmity. Either way it turns out, you can build on it.

Thanks for all the input guys :) I've got a good feeling I'll be interweaving multiple things into the rest of the campaign.
