I've got a weird character arc for a story.

Basically, a warforged in our games is a Holy Liberator. The irony is that the DM has explained that he's completely unaware of how the hell he's got his supernatural abilities.

It's sort of a point of interest that it's unexplained where these abilities come from and he just 'has them.'

However, the time for push comes to shove is coming up and I'd like to reveal what deity/power is exactly behind his noble role to come.

...the trouble is I'm not even sure what deity it is or how exactly to make a seen that justifies all this buildup.

So some help would be appreciated.

Pretty much the only thing related is...

* The character is the mortal foe of the Lord of Blades
* The character has the twin sword of the Excalibur equivalent of my Galifar. A holy blade of Cyre.

I want to tie it certainly into the greater whole of the ending chronicle but it should be something mythic I believe but without violating the distance of Eberron's gods.

The obvious, and most easily-accomodated, answer would be the Silver Flame. That's the religion that goes in for Holy Warriors, it has - unlike almost any other Eberron religion - a definitely-real, interventionist divine presence that can grant such powers, and there's plenty of precedent for warriors hearing the call and acquiring special powers as a result. In this case, the powers just arrived before the call (maybe as a result of the Day of Mourning twisting things up on the supernatural level).

Tying this in to a holy blade of Cyre might be trickier, but then again maybe not - the Silver Flame religion is known across Khorvaire, and would certainly have had plenty of adherents within Cyre.

The Silver Flame is an obvious choice but its' also the most transcendent of the deities as well. The Sovereign Host is not intervenionalistic but they're also seemingly a great deal more anthromorphized than the Silver Flame. The issues of a enchanted blade and kingship plus the like seem removed from the concerns of what basically amounts to a living embodiment of pure good within the 12 Kingdoms.

I'm actually interested also in the possibility of how angels might subsitute for the gods in potential cases like this as well. While we might have no proof the Sovereign Host exists, its entirely possible that transcendent beings worship them in the afterlife and carry out spiritual messages and quests in their name.

it's a difficult decision honestly.

Also, there's Ascended Dragons too according to Keith on their continent.

There's also the potential for the player to reject a more malignant source of things.
