I'm starting (taking over) an Eberron campaign, and I think my main plot is going to revolve around a new secret order that's starting to brew, maybe headquartered in Sharn or thereabouts. The key to this group is that they've figured out a way to "steal" dragonmarks. Through a complicated magical ritual (involving a machine of sorts, created by a powerful artificer), they have figured out a way to grant a dragonmark to any humanoid. Unfortunately, the process requires the presence of a normal dragonmark owner, who is killed in the process.

Thus, the group is starting to kidnap less-conspicuous dragonmark owners, including one who is a player character.

Thoughts, opinions? I might have them based out of Darguun, possibly even granting some twisted dragonmark variations to orcs, goblins, or even ogres.

I don't want to say more than what I am about to say because of possible spoilers and a possible violation of the Do Not Post About Novels rule, but read The Dreaming Dark: City of Towers.
