| zerotkatama10-18-04, 08:54 PM | Okay, I've got a campaign/adventure arc idea, and I wanted to see what you all thought of it. Alright. Rumors are that somebody's doing lots of research, buying up Siberys Dragonshards, doing a lot of artifact hunting. (I realize everyone's doing this in Eberron, but this is unusual activity. With Investigation, the PCs find out that it's been mainly Warforged doing these thigns, and that the researched topics have to do with Sharn and the Arcanix Towers. Real plot: The Lord of Blades has hatched a plan to bring down Sharn, throwing the fleshy world into chaos. One of his most trusted Artificers is constructing a Eldritch machine in a Manifest Zone tied to Dolurrh. It's purpose? To disrupt/destroy the manifest Zone tied to Syrania that Sharn exists in, thus ending the levitation effects that hold the towers up. But, The Lord of Blades is not without a backup. If that goes wrong, then he has a second team working on an Eldrich machine in the bowels of Sharn itself, with the intent of pulling the towers of Arcanix into the City of sharn. What do you think? |

| zerotkatama10-18-04, 09:37 PM | I haven't exactly figured it out yet. I figured I'd start at 1st or second level using Forgotten forge and a modified Shadows of the Last War for starting. I'd say run no higher than 10th level. |

| Brastan10-18-04, 10:45 PM | Seems a bit like I, Robot (the film). Make sure one of the PCs is a druid that distrusts all warforged. :D  The only thing similar is that a quasi-robot like race is involved. It could just as easily be members of the Emerald Claw or the Cult of the Dragon Below. In the Emerald Claw case the PCs would find out that it was Karrnath citizens doing the research. I like I-robot and think that it could be a useful aid to roleplaying a Warforged ( reference Sonny ). But it doesn't really apply in this case. Although Warforged paranoia could come into play, which would help the Lord of Blades pass allegations off as over zealous Warforged haters just being bigots. Ah and yes, very good. Nice, you remembered Eldritch machines. It seems that sometime they've been pushed to back in-favor other magic items. |
