This may seem like a "no-brainer" but it's not to me. I was looking over Challenge of Champions V from Dungeon 108. In "The Rules" the first line states: "All team members must show up in non-magic clothing; no armor is permitted."

What if some of the team members are warforged? It's not like they can just take off their armor/skin. What would you do to get around this beyond "That doesn't apply to warforged?"

I haven't seen the article in question, but the obvious two options would be to limit the competition to humanoids, or to issue combatants with standard non-magical armour that matches standard Warforged protection.

This can be turned into a great plot hook.!

Perhaps this is the first year they decide to allow the warforged to praticipate in the Challenge. Perhaps the Warforge protest for being exempt from the games.

Or perhaps the guy controlling the tournament is a warforge-hater, and he uses teh amour issue as an exuse!

I like the idea of a Warforged hater running the challenge. It would be interesting if instead of just saying no warforged he said that the warforged had to provide armor equivelant to his own for each participating team meber of both teams. Something outlandish and expensive. It seems that that would be more spiteful and cruel than just saying no, plus it could make for a good plot hook. Especially if he considered the light fortification to be a part of the armor.

I'd say either totally discriminate against the Warforged ("They're not people! They're walking suits of armor! All they're good for is fighting each other and getting hacked into little pieces!"), or to make a more general ruling that its only open to WF without any of the body feats. Base model only.
