Cannith 12 [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-01-06, 10:34 PM I DM in Eberron, and i am planning on running the Red Hand of Doom.
when i was looking at where I would place Elsir vale(the place that is the focus of the hobgoblin armies) i decided upon a sleepy little corner in north-eastern Karnnath, mostly because it is 'blank slate' style, and i can fabricate any towns, roads, rivers, and so forth that i need. i cam to this conclusion from only the ECS map of Karnnath and the Mror Holds.

Then i look at The Five Nations. in the map of Karnnath in TFN, i see that the slate is not so blank as I would have thought. there is a little, unexplained blip out there, named Cannith 12. i have done a search through the books that i do own (ECS, PGtE, TFN, EH), and i find nothing relating to this.

I would like to hear what anyone else has found out about this 'Cannith 12', or, if it remains unexplained, what other people speculate about it and have used it for(if they have used it).

now i have to say, if anyone finds anything canon(in a sourcebook, novel, Eberron comic, dragonshard, etc.) i will probably use that, and then fiddle to fit my campaign.

10-02-06, 03:09 AM I've looked through all my books, and I cannot find any reference to this facility. My guess is that it might be something from Shadows of the Last war, only it's not really explained there, either. The best I can offer is "it's not explained to the best of my knowledge."

10-02-06, 04:43 AM I'd guess it is just some sort of Cannith facility. A lab, an outpost, a factory, whatever you want. If you don't want it there just make it something in use during the last war and now abandoned.

in this campaign i think i will use my most recent type of 'super-obvious DM fudge' basically, a mourning-like calamity happened here, but has for the most part receded.

i'll post the details of this fudge in the eberron general forum.
