Ok, so the characters are level 9 now and are getting the idea that they're getting famous. Some of the bards (PC class or otherwise) of Woat are singing songs about them and their adventures and children are running through the streets shouting “Nu-uh, you didn’t kill me! Chuba has a ring that protects him from fire!” and stuff like that. And that’s all fine and dandy.

But now the players want to market themselves. They want action figures and “Genuine Sucial bow with real flame arrow action!” for the kiddies. There was even talk of hiring play wrights to glorify their adventures of the stage…

I was about to knock it down as a silly idea that would never fly, but I took a moment to think about it and wonder if this enterprise might be a fun diversion from the otherwise grueling job of saving Breland and Eberron from Lore and his insane plan to turn everything into undead.

What sort of hijinks and shenanigans might come of something like this? I’m thinking of an adventure or two more in line with Diskworld than the usual tone of D&D.

things to do:
have them sell there story to one of the big papers.

Have an imposter start runnung up a tab in every bar (changling drunkard)

Goblins turning out cheap knockoff merchendise.

Pharlani satirist turning his quill on them (best if theyve annoyed him or her some how)

Pregnant barmaid claming the child was fatherd by one of the Pcs (goes to them if this is plausbe, to the papers if not)

Nobe 'fan' with more enthuiasim than skill pays them to come along.

they could set up the Korvare equivelent of a 1900s Wild west show puting on desplays of there skills as they travel.

they start geting stalked by a gnomish biograpger.

For some reason, this stuck out to me as being exceptionally funny.

In any case, another idea is to give them quests to stalk some guy in the city (and figure out who he is meeting with or where his hideout is, etc) but have it keep being ruined when someone notices them and starts a crowd (damn groupies).

This is great stuff I'm gonna use this myself.
The party I'm running is yet to become so famous(level 4 known well in some corners, mostly Vadalis).

Also dont forget celebrity lookalikes, maybe even changling prostitutes advertising 'a night with a hero'. :plotting:
