Cast for Eberron: The Movie [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-15-05, 01:39 AM Let's say someone was making a movie about the Eberron Adventure Path. Which actors YOU cast as the heroes/villains? I will post a list of characters for casting, and add new characters after some time. Please don't start casting characters before I list them. Please.

Okay, here we go! Launching with the heroes:
Dymus Deneith (LG human monk/fighter of Dol Dorn with the mark of Sentinel)
Kesht (CG shifter cleric of Balinor/Dol Dorn)
Rael Dehllyr (LG Valenar ranger)
Dorian Delisan Cantar (N gnome sorcerer)
Tezz (NG halfling rogue with the mark of Healing)
Slate (N adamantine warforged fighter)

The first issue is: Do we keep them all male or include a female for the sake of (*shudder*) political correctness?

That's it for now. When the heroes are done, I'll post characters from The Forgotten Forge. Start casting!

Anyway, lets see....

Tezz - James Marsters
Slate - Computer Generated with the voice of Vin Diesel or the Rock
Rael - Keira Knightly
Dorian - Should be female can't think of who though
Tash' Rivian d'Lyrandar (half-elf Paladin of the Silverflame with the mark of storms) - Ashton Kutcher (Lets see if he REALLY CAN play any role!)

Yeah, I realize that that last one isn't one of the ones you mentioned but I think the Mark of Storms is the coolest dragonmark... and the Church of the Silver Flame is the religion that has the most possible story twists and moral questions which makes for good movies!

04-15-05, 03:53 AM Actually, I'm going to scratch the idea of casting the whole Adventure Path. It was a not-so-good idea that taught me to not post when tired. Actually, trying to cast the above party isn't such a good idea either. So scratch that.

Instead, let's cast City of Towers: The Movie. Who would star as Daine, Lei, Jode, and Pierce? Who would play the villains and supporting characters? Go wild!

No offense, but with this thinking you'd never make it in the movie biz. It's not "PCness" to include females, its smart marketing. Including an attractive female will increase your audience; you attract women, who want a female role model, and (straight) men, who want to see a hot chick running around in a chainmail bikini.

So I propose that you make Dymus Deneith a woman, played by Vivica Fox (http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0266697/Ss/0266697/CN-253-07A.jpg?path=pgallery&path_key=Fox,%20Vivica%20A.).

Waitasec... Do you mean the three published " of the [Blank blank]" adventures, or are you referring to something else? Because the only place I've seen those characters is Keith's site (http://www.bossythecow.com/eberronparty.htm).

Oooh, okay.

[b]Daine: Clive Owen
Lei: Kate Beckinsale (with red hair)
Jode: Campbell Scott
Pierce: Vin Diesel

Daine has to be a leading man who's fairly young and handsome but weathered-looking enough to be believable as a veteran soldier. Another possible choice is Hugh Jackman.

Lei has to be pretty enough to be a (possible) romantic interest for Daine, but tough enough to not look ridiculous in armor. I can't think of any famous natural redheads with that combo, so Kate Beckinsale it is.

Picking Jode is the hardest. Billy Boyd is actually a great choice, but I hate to typecast him as a halfling. A comedian would play the part well, but I can't think of any out there right now who really have a "snappy patter" style. (Most are doing the "smart-dumb" thing these days.) You've probably never heard of Campbell Scott, but he played a great fast-talker in a film called "Roger Dodger" a couple of years ago.

Pierce just has to be somebody with a rumbling, menacing voice. From a realistic perspective, it probably doesn't matter that much who the actual voice is, but Vin sounds right and he's a D&D fan, so there you go.

So for our characters... Who will be the dwarf guard on the lift? (Can't remember is name) the halfling woman who have the inn? Lady Alisa?

Deothen: human male senior paladin, aging

Tan Du: male human (?) Vampire

Majeeda: elf (deathless?) wizard, ancient

Xalt: warforged artificer

Bastard: Warforged lieutenant of the lord of blades, fighter/juggernaut
