In the core book is nothing about some papers infused with magical identification and therefore possibly being more "trustworthy". |

If they're legal they say that the person is a changeling and list distinguishing features etc. of the changeling in their regular changeling form. If they are high quality they have a picture. with their abilities how are they kept from just change visage to use anyones? Usually a spot check just like all disguise checks. If it's somewhere important like an embassy there are spells like detect shapeshifter to assist them But this is the reason changelings are usually regarded with suspicion. how do they grant papers to a changeling without knowing how it will look when it gets to the checkpoint? If the changeling is being perfectly honest the ID/traveling papers will say changeling and describe them in their actual changeling form and when they get to a "checkpoint" they will be in their true changeling form. I suspect many changelings have one really good semi-permanent form/life/whatever that they use for official things like this but they'd get in trouble if busted. |
