Does anyone know when Eberron-specific stuff might be available for PCGen? I currently only use the SRD data, but I might buy the Eberron data if it wasn't too expensive.

Adding new feats and items isn't too tough ... adding whole new races and classes, I'm not sure how to do....

Also, what paper character sheets would be best for Eberron?

Hopefully I will have an Eberron version of my D&D sheet up soon. Place your requests now...

I'm working on some Eberron PCGen stuff now.

Code Monkey Publishing hasn't been releasing new data sets lately (Complete Warrior or PGtF aren't out, for instance). I don't think the idea of selling the information to the players twice (once as a book, and again if you want to use it to make characters with a program) was very sucessful. Anyway, it's arguably illegal to distribute PCGen files of WotC books (I, personally, think it's firmly in fair use terriotry, but I dont' have any lawyers to back me up :) ), but if you have any questions on how to do something, let me know and I'll try and help out.

I've got the races in and a smattering of feats, spells, and PrCs (should have it all done in another couple weeks). It's nothing really truely difficult.

I think paying for the data twice "feels" like being cheated, but I do realize that someone has to take the time to do all the conversion. The problem that I've seen (but I'm not sure) is that when versions of PCGen change, the data doesn't and you're out of luck.

PCGen is a great program, though and the output is very neat. I can even port my character to my Handspring Visor (like PalmPilot) using PCGenView (another free program) that is very cool.

Making your own PCGen data WOULD be fair use ... giving them away would not, AFAIK. You'd be giving copyrighted material to people who might not have paid for it.

What would be nice would be each book comes with a CD of all the PCGen data! But, you'll never see that happen....

Going to be adding the Eberron class and races in the next month or so. See the sig for the links.
