| Hiroshima_Mooneyes06-29-04, 11:51 AM | I'm just curious...what's to keep me from stripping all those perserved bodies in the Field of Ruins of armor and weapons? I mean, it says that there are Thrane knights, Brelish archers, and lesser warriors....I think I can get my hands on a wonderful masterwork full plate, at least 200 arrows (plus the bow to fire them), a masterwork long sword, maybe a masterwork large steel shield.....and if not, enough to buy all of that by selling stuff stripped here. There wasnt any rumers listed her...and I guess the only things that threaten are the undead that roam the Mournland, and probably living spells and the roving bands of the Lord of Blades' men. |

Not to mention that with the signing of the treaty that placed a hold on the hostilities, the nation's involved haven't made forays into Mournland to recover their lost troops, 'specially Karnnath with their visible use of undead troops; having a pc carry masterwork items from various factions that were known to have perished at the Field of Ruins might raise the ire of the nation's that were involved. Sure racism is rampant throughout Eberron, yeah just go make your pc more hated just because you pilfer the dead as well....smart! |
| Sabis06-29-04, 01:21 PM | UNdead and mutated creatures and the fact aht you don't heal, even w/ magic, in the mournlands. Besides that? absolutely nothing. There's even a group of NPC's described in the book that does jsut that. |
| Hiroshima_Mooneyes06-30-04, 10:13 AM | Axys Hmm.....well, one can have markings filed off or altered, shields repainted....if the GM might be **** retentive enough, have to have the arrows re-fletched so the colored feathers are altered... It's been done through real world history, but you're right...running around with the heraldry of Lord So-n-So of Such-n-Such isn't that smart. Sabis Good to know that the dead themselves don't get up and try to have a 'polite' conversation with you about your behavior! Course, mutants, undead, and the inability to heal do make it rather risky anyway. |
| Caul06-30-04, 10:36 PM | With the perfect stasis of the corpses in the Field of Ruins, and the rumors of a curse floating around, I don't know if I would partake in such a venture. Things are pretty strange in the Mournland, you never know what could happen. BTW, you can get healed in the Mournland (description refers only to spells and spell-like abilities, not already made items). |
