| Galen_Michael02-15-06, 05:21 PM | If you go here (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0152057625/ref=pe_snp_625/102-7834468-3568933?n=283155) you will find a very odd thing... the Amazon.com page for a children's book supposedly authored by Keither Baker. Of special interest is that clicking on the name of the author (Keith Baker) does indeed take you to Hellcow's other D&D books, but the description of the author reads as follows: About the Author KEITH BAKER is the author-illustrator of many beloved picture books, including Little Green, Hide and Snake, and Quack and Count. He lives in Seattle, Washington.Obviously Keith does not live in Seattle, but he may secretly be the author/illustrator of several children's books ;) Of further note is that I received notice of this book from Amazon in an e-mail that stated: As someone who has purchased books by Jesse Decker, you might like to know that On the Go with Mr. and Mrs. Green (Mr. And Mrs. Green) will be released soon. You can pre-order your copy at a savings of 32% by following the link below. Why did the e-mail mention Jesse Decker and not Keith Baker (I have certainly purchased many books authored by Keith on Amazon). Weird... Keith? You out there? Care to weigh in? Galen |
| Raziel_Brokodar02-15-06, 09:07 PM | wow... weird stuff... lol :P (by the way everyone, the avatars I did up are finally uploaded) |
| Serpentine02-15-06, 09:19 PM | Honestly, Keith Baker doesn't strike me as that uncommon a name. |
| Decree Of Boredom02-15-06, 09:20 PM | See Daine Sunder. Sunder, Daine, Sunder! Daine sundered the goblin's spiked chain. See Pierce Snipe. Snipe, Pierce, Snipe! Pierce sniped the mind flayer. See Lei Repair. Repair, Lei, Repair! Lei repaired the warforged. See Jode Die. Die, Jode, Die! Jode was killed by brain removal. |
| Golbez5702-15-06, 10:17 PM | That book came to me from Amazon as a recommendation by email this afternoon. I deleted it, thinking that it was a name mix-up. If Keith had authored the book, wouldn't we have heard about it at Bossythecow.com? |
| igotsmeakabob!!02-16-06, 03:20 AM | See Jode Die. Die, Jode, Die! Jode was killed by brain removal. Jode was my favorite character... and he was offed... then I have to deal with Jode in Daine's head... now I have to deal with a ******* CLIFFHANGER. |
| Beleriphon02-16-06, 03:33 AM | Jode was my favorite character... and he was offed... then I have to deal with Jode in Daine's head... now I have to deal with a ******* CLIFFHANGER. Yes you do. I personally thought it was quite good what with the switcheroo and all. Excellent work all around on that one. As for the name, I suspect that Keither Baker is in point of fact fine children's author. He just didn't create Eberron. Name mix ups, up up and away! |
| igotsmeakabob!!02-16-06, 04:54 AM | Love the both books though. |
| Grymar02-16-06, 07:52 AM | Yeah, I got the email from Amazon also...nice to see Hellcow is branching out, bringing noir and pulp to children around the world. In Keith's version, Jack spent Action Points to jump over the candlestick.... ...Jill got Jack to go up the hill to get the pail of water because she had been hired by House Thuranni to "break his crown"... ...Humpty Dumpty was pushed off of the wall by the Dreaming Dark to break the confidence the people have for the walls of the city. |
| Euangelion02-16-06, 10:46 AM | And I suppose Cinderella's step-mother and sisters were really the Daughters of Sora Kell? And that the three bears in Goldilocks were really were-bears on the run from the Church of the Silver Flame? (It would explain why they had a house, furniture, and cooked their food.) |

And Rumplestiltskin was with the Trust, and the Chamber has been casting all kinds of auguries over that Chicken Little business. |
