Hey, all.

Yea High here, throwing out a subject near and dear to me and one that has, in my estimation, been overlooked thus far.

Colors. Flags. Standards.

The Dragonmarked houses have their coats-of-arms, with various fanatastical beasties thrown on for decorative effect (no mundane horses or chickens rampant - not in this world!). But the nations - Breland, Karrnath, Aundair, etc. - have nothing. There is no mention of national colors, and aside from a general assumption that Thrane is fond of the color silver, we're really given no lead as to any other nations.

As a writer I find it hard to set scenes without the visuals; setting, lighting and color go a long way toward placing my reader in the moment. And flags, banners, and standards are an important part of national identity. Hard to write a scene that depicts flowing banners draped from ceiling rafters if I don't even know the colors involved.

Besides, it makes playing Risk: Eberron's The Last War a nigh impossibility (much less Magic: The Dragonshard ...).

Visuals are important.

I hope future Eberron releases take the time and effort to give us the goods. (I hear Lee Moyer is more than willing)

At gencon I saw some art featuring a Breland coat of arms. My guess is it will be in the Sharn Supplement.

I am very interested to see the flags of the nations as well.
I posted a question to Kieth on the AKB thread but he said he needs to find out if answering would break his NDAs.
What did this Breland coat of arms look like?

As IETFB is referring to, all that you are asking for has been done, Yea. I just don't know when WotC plans to unveil it. If you recall, Lee Moyer had a few pieces of art in his set of holy symbols you hadn't seen before -- they're lots more unseen art where that came from.

I want to say it was a bear with a gold border. I only got a quick look at it as I was leaving the artshow (I thought I was going to have a chance to go back again and see the rest of the art show)
