It seems to me, that for example there would miss the sports section of a typical modern newspaper because there are no "khorvaire olympics" etc. So, what do you think what kind of news would appear at regular intervals? In my upcoming campaign, I will use the SI very often, but I want to "disguise" the important news a bit. (Later they should fit all together puzzle pieces.) So, if you have any idea for a every-day-news, feel free to post it! :) |

I've used Word, as I don't have access to Pagemaker. It's worked, though I've heard Pagemaker is a lot easier. There have been a few threads about creating the SI, with suggestions of styles, typeface, etc. I don't have one bookmarked on my home machine but I'll try to post the link here on Monday. In my campaign, the Inquisitive prints three days a week (my campaign often only covers a day or so of game time, and my goal is to have a new issue of the SI for each session). I try to have an article on sports, or an editorial or a society article, depending on which day it is. I include a few ads that have plot hooks, and articles that forshadow events. For example, several weeks before I ran my group through "Whispers of the Vampire's Blade," I had a front page article about Lucan Skellos being awarded a citation for meritorious service to the Brelish Crown. The SI has been a useful tool for me. I do recommend using the WotC site's SI articles, and I usually take one from the Korranberg Chronicle. The WotC art gallery is a great source for illustrations in the paper, also. |
