Hello Fellow Gamers,

My question: how do the Complete books fit into Eberron? For example, can Hex Blades find a home somewhere in Eberron? How about Samuri?

Thanks in advance.

From what I read there is a home for EVERYTHING in Eberron. As I was saying on another thread the campaign setting is a mish-mash of a little bit of everything like those crazy monsters on the old Scooby Doo cartoons.

If you have read the Eberron campaign setting book, can you tell me if the new classes from the Complete books are addressed?

Sorry I have not read the Eberron Campaign Setting in detail(Especially since I am more into my ongoing Dragonlancecampaign right now.). The book(The Eberron Campaign Setting) is just sitting on my DnD shelf. The most I have done is let my players look at it so they could generate their characters(During an Eberron character generation session we had about a week ago.) .

I can take a look at it tonight though and post what I find tommorrow. ;)

I dont belive the ECS mentions Complete Charater Classes specifically however, The hexblade could have several places in Eberron. There are other Complete classes as well that fit well. The best I would say that is easiest to fit is the Swashbuckler because of Eberrons Swashbuckling nature. So the answer I guess is yes they fit. As to where. I can see Hexblades being trained in Karrnath or being used by the Druids of Children of Winter? (cant remmeber what the name of that sec was) Since there ratical stance and spreading of blight and such. I know there are others that could give alot better.

Generally there will have to be some fine tuning done to classes such as Hex Blades and Samurai to have them fit in Eberron. Mostly just the descriptions/backgrounds of the class will be the major change. For samurai you might change the weapon choices and find them fitting in Valanar (the militant elven nation of Khorvaire)....but Eberron has been said that pretty much everything in D&D can find a home there. :)

HA~ even looks like someone else had the same idea I had woot

Karrnath certainly gained the first and most extensive benefits from the study. Karrnathi hexblades still work to advance the kingdom’s agenda, while others strike out to seek their own fortunes.

also I can see some Orcs or Hobgoblins adopting the a life as a Samurai. in fact if you look in the ECS pg 155 there is a orc from darguun which is dected out in Samurai gear. Atleast it looks that way to me.

If you have read the Eberron campaign setting book, can you tell me if the new classes from the Complete books are addressed? There's nothing official, but a lot of fans have expressed their ideas here. I posted some of my own ideas, bolstered by input from the boards, in the two articles that St23aM linked to:
