Could this be the Lord of Blades!? [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-01-04, 05:59 PM First off, I must say that I love Eberron. Absolutley love it. In my opinion it is the best blend of fluff and crunch that I've ever seen in a Wizards product. I only wish my group would convert. (We're all kickin' it in Cauldron for Dungeon.)

Anyway...

I found this picture (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/eb_gallery/82078.jpg) at the start of Chapter Nine. Please look closely at the face, shoulder and armor spikes of this Juggernaut. (Please note that in my opinion those spikes look like blades.) :confused:

Now, I found this picture (http://www.coveworld.net/eberron/lord_of_blades.jpg) on the cover of my Dungeon #111. Once again examine and compare the face, shoulder and armor spikes of this Juggernaut. :eek: (Eeire if you ask me.)

Is this the Lord of Blades? Did he fight for Cyre before the Day of Mourning? Have I spent too much time obsessing over this setting? Will anyone be interested in joining my play by post Eberron games at
Real Adventures (http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=278)? Only time will tell.

07-01-04, 06:22 PM Well, the second pic IS The Lord of Blades. The reason he's on the cover of that issue of Dragon is there's an article describing who he is and detailing what his stats are.

That said, the warforged in the first has a different face, and his armour spikes/possible blades look a little different. Though this may be down to different artists.

So is that the infamous Lord of Blades bathed in red light in a Cyrian battle? Maybe.

And I'll take a look at your play by post game.

07-01-04, 06:43 PM That's most likely him. It would be rather silly of the Lord of Blades hadn't actually FOUGHT in the war.

I'm just waiting for the romance fanfic about the Lord of Blades and the Lady of Pain.

07-01-04, 06:44 PM The face is slightly different but the blades that run down the sides of the face as well as the blade across the bridge of where a nose would be makes him look closer the the LoB then not to me. Also, the changes could be slight cosmetics in the last two years.
