1. Is initiate or Aspirant the lowest rank of the Gatekeepers? Pg 241 of the ECS contradicts itself.

2. Why haven't the inievitables smacked down 1) The Deathless or Vol, for cheating Death or 2) Darguun or Valenar, for breaking oaths?

1. Where the Rules As Written are contradictory, use common sense: Aspirant is the lowest rank of the Gatekeepers.

2. 1) The inevitables hunt down personalities that have escaped Dolurrh. None of the Undying Court or Erandis d'Vol ever made it to Dolurrh, so it's not an issue. The inevitables don't hunt down Dragons Ascendant, either, for example.

2. 2) Darguun and Valenar were created as a result of oaths older than Cyre, older than Galifar, dating back to the Empire of Dhakaan and the original colony of Valenar. The present inheritors of those lands choose to believe that the ancient oaths take precedence over the modern oaths, and, so far, the inevitables of Daanvi seem willing to concede the point.

It says in the Marut Description that they hunt those who artificialy prolong life. As far as I can tell, Kolyarut are concerned with bargains and oaths, not claims to the land or anything like that.Unless there is some Eberron specific fluff of which I am unaware?

I agree with Siran, so there is now. ;)

And if you check the AKB FAQ, you'll see that Aspirant should be the lowest rank. You aspire to become an initiate.
