drakahn 12-24-04, 09:02 PM	i searched the erata, faq and used a search to see if these quesitions have been answered and havent came acrost any answeres so here goes. page 126 says a lightning rail travels at a speed of 30 miles per hour. page 267 states conductor stones allow it to move at speeds of about 25 miles per hour. which is corect? i read somewhere i forege that infusions are neiter arcane or devine magic. does the armor arcane falure also not apply to infusions? the reason i ask is because i have a guy making a warforged artificer and hes thinking of puting on mithral or adamantine body feat, and this got me to thinking about the balance delema of alowing an artificer in heavy armor if no penalty for using it with the exception of dex penalty. the feat double steel strike on page 52 says "you have mastered a fighting style thatr makes use of an unusual monk weapon: the two-bladed sword" is this in reference to the "scimitar, valenar double" on page 119? thanks
Grynn 12-24-04, 09:23 PM	Question number one I'm not too sure on, but I seem to remember someone saying that 30 mph is the correct speed. An artificer's infusions are not subject to the arcane spell failure chance of armor, because they are not arcane spells. I'm fairly certain that the two-bladed sword being refered to is the two-bladed sword. It's in the players handbook and is a two-handed exotic double weapon.
Bluebrush 12-24-04, 09:55 PM	Though I think it can be easily houseruled to let you use the double scimitar instead. I think it even reccomended it in the Elves of Valenar article.
Edymnion 12-24-04, 10:52 PM	As for the lightning rail, really, its a plot device more than anything else. Essentially, it goes as fast as the DM needs it to go. But 30 mph sounds pretty good to me for a rule of thumb.
