| DBlizzard10-09-04, 01:35 PM | Well, it seems that WotC/RPGA aren't actually putting the characters for the Forgotten Forge up online for Worldwide D&D Day, as announced. They are suggesting you either go with the characters in the other adventure (those from the Basic D&D game) or let them roll up characters at the event. To me, both are unsatisfying. Given the amount of time some players take to create characters, that is very time-consuming. The Iconics are interesting, but really directed for beginning players (although I could grab the Iconics stats from elsewhere). It also doesn't expose the players to Eberron. So, I'm going to create a 6 character party for the adventure. What classes should I use for the adventure? Obviously, I'm going with some variation of the 4 main classes, Fighter/Rogue/Cleric/Wizard. I'm certainly going to use at least a couple of the Eberron races for flavor. So, what combinations should I use and what classes should I create for the other two characters? I want to avoid the artificer. Anyone familiar enough with the class to run one cold has probably already played in the adventure. |

| Tysonium10-09-04, 03:26 PM | I'm planning the same thing for the games I'm running next weekend. I plan on making a standard party of 6 for the players to choose from. These are subject to change, but I'll likely have: Human Fighter Elf Sorcerer Dwarf Cleric Halfling Rogue Shifter Ranger Warforged Paladin I figure this selection showcases two Eberron races (and hopefully I'll have some Aberrations figures by that point so I can use the Shifter figure), provide a touch of extra healing for the party (from the Paladin), add a couple more warrior types (Ranger/Paladin), and allow me to only have to make two extra characters from scratch and expand on the other four. So if you want to run somthing other then the short campaigns they sent, feel free to grab one. I am looking forward to it. |

| TyrDrakul10-10-04, 06:27 PM | Official Hand out for D&D World day sent to locations hosting states that characters for the introduction are provided, and may also be used for Eberron campain setting. If your DM would like then you get to make your own characters for Eberron using Character creation rules found on page 6 of the players hand book. |
