06-25-06, 01:28 AM Me and my adventuring patners have come into the pocession of a Air Ship. How do we find out what to pay the crew, is there a book we can get that will outline some rules for us on this subject.

06-25-06, 07:11 AM According to the PHB, a skilled laborer makes 1 sp/day. I would consider a sailor skilled because of ranks in Profession (sailor).

06-25-06, 10:56 AM My gut instinct is to regard those trained to sail the still relatively new Airships as being far more 'professional' than a simple labourer. A teamster or craftsman is paid 3sp a day, a clerk 4sp, an engineer 5sp. Depending on exactly what crew are supposed to do, I'd average them at around 3 to 4 silver sovereigns a day.

Of course, depending on what the PCs do, they might be closer to being pirates or privateers, in which case men serve for food and board plus a share of the takings.
