| bob_schroeder06-07-07, 07:15 AM | Hi, I am currently running (DMing) EotLQ and my players have almost completed chapter 1. Since the adventure involves pirates and seafaring, I want to include the Crimson Ship (from Explorer´s Handbook) as a transport medium to Argonessen. While we all (party and me) are fans of "Pirates of the Caribbean" I want to tweak the Crimson Ship in appearance to Davy Jones and his Flying Duchman and I need a hook to bring it in. Maybe an adaption of the Crimson Ships hook. Any advices? |

I was considering exactly the same thing for the transition to Chapter 4 - I mean, no normal captain would willingly sail to Argonessen. However, I would not use the Crimson Ship for the rest of the sea travel in the adventure. |

I'm also running the adventure right now and I was considering the reactions of all those Lyandar crew to them having to take Aberrant Dragonmarked people all over the place. They would probably not be happy about it and perhaps even considering to abandon the PC to, lets say a haunted isle from where almost nobody returns :schemes: Thus, if the crew does abandon the PC, they'll need some serious help to get them out of Trebaz Sinara... |

You know it's actually been nagging me, unless there happens to be a Lyrander heir in the party who's mark underwent the transformation I can't see any Lyrander Captian sailing to Argonessen. I think that's a really good idea JP. Yes, I'm preparing to run this adventure somewhere in the next week or so. I think I'll have the Lyrander Captian innitially be very welcoming to the guests of Sur'Kil who's comissioned the ship. "This ship is my home, and until our business takes us once again takes us our separate ways, make it your home as well," as they sail to Aderport... after the PLOT POINT, no I don't think he'll be so happy. Abandoning the filthy Aberrants on Trebaz Sinara and tearfully telling Sur'Kil that they waited but the party never returned from the haunted six damned island. Course they'll never get to tell Sur'kil that lie but that's beside the point. An happen upon a pirate expedition being overwhelmed by undead after the party discovers they're stranded, help the pirates earns passage off, negotiate with the pirates to take them to Argonessen... I like it. Also the pirates could give a jumping in point for backup PCs incase one dies in Chapter 3 sometime... "Listen sorry your character with, you know, an actual connection to the plot died... so you wanna make a pirate cap'n?" |

They now drift until they are overwhelmed by hunger and thirst, then suddenly on this sunny hot day it gets cold and foggy... |
