Androlphas 03-22-05, 05:25 PM	Yeah! The original "gray box" for Forgotten Realms had about as much info as the Eberron book, except with maps and plastic overlays. One kingdom, Sembia, was originally left up to the DM to develop (much like Eberron's Xen'drik.) The setting changed and evolved with books and novels (and rules editions) over the years up to its current, cluttered form. Dragonlance, on the other hand, started out as a series of adventures that made up a long, epic campaign. It too changed and evolved, mostly with novels. I'm not very satisfied with the current incarnations of either FR or DL, which led me to discover Greyhawk (it gave me that good, old-school feel), and of course, Eberron, which has brought on a sort of D&D Rennaissance for me. Everything I though I knew about how D&D campaigns should be has been torn down and built back up again. Sadly, the same fate will eventually befall Eberron. It will get fleshed out in books and novels and eventually make way for some other new setting. That's not necessarily bad, though. I'm sure Eberron, like all the other classic settings, will leave behind tons of memorable campaigns. It already has for me :D
