The village is actually the one from the sample encounter "The Grandmas House" from heros of horror. I ran it in a dream sequence and set it 100 years in the past. Know the PC have to get through and im not sure what kind of creatures should be there and not sure what could have happend to the hamlets occupents. |

I'm not familiar with Heroes of Horror. Is it mad scientist plotline or similar? If yes I would use some elements from the villains past, like scarred old patients, prisoners or similar and turn tem now a avenging force. This force could be a bit extreme, attacking or threatening even the good meaning PC:s. This could also be good way to introduce the taint system (which I’m not familiar, but know from Rokukan). Abominations are always good way to express nature twisted and turn bad, as for pulp feel man-eating albino, fiendishly intelligent giant ape is a classic. The terror in the wood scenario is also good use for mangled, half-eaten corpses and easy frights from distant roars and screams and charges from the woods. Some old medical instruments still hanging from the muscular arms of the beast is also good way to introduce mans folly. Hope this helped even a bit.. |
