Did anyone read the Eberron story that comes with the 'Shadows of the Last War' adventure?
It was an ok read, but I didn't understand the title,'Death at Whitehearth', none of Daine's friends die, like it states at the end. The only one to die was Kaziral, but he wasn't a friend of Daine.

Any thoughts on this?

Well, Kaziral died, yes.

As for the end, I think the angst is probably relating to something not in the story. Considering there was a war going on, and the nation they were exploring was destroyed there's room enough for death and tragedy.

I'll have to re-read to be sure though.

Another thing to bring to mind is the fact that people state that the Greenshadows are warforged scouts which isn't true, the Greenshadows are as tall as Pierce....

I always took the warforged scouts to be normal warforged with an essence of the scout and darkvision imbued into them.

Oh, and I simply loved this story - best part of the module (the mod was cool, but frankly I'm not a huge fan of them).

Cheers,

I thought this was the best part of the module too. I'm actually thinking of using it as a basis for an adveture. But maybe not.....

Could be the whole foreshadowing of the creation of the Mournlands gives it's name.

I got the impression this took place VERY close to the Day of Mourning.
