Carrots to everyone !

I'm converting a french campaign into Eberron - keeping only the trail and the tone - and I need help. The campaign is already very Eberronish in tone and feature lots of action, adventure and pursuits.

In this campaign (called The Chronicles of Chaos for ADD2, going from level 4 to level 15) a threat from a "Dead God" from another plane become real and pushes the heroes around the world to fight this evil.

The god is evil, worshiping chaos, undead and destruction. It uses demons and undead and nearly possesses a world of its own. One of the pcs fearsome enemy is a "mercenary demon" they fight along the way.

I was thinking to replace the "Dead God" with Vol but I have problems with the Demon and other little details.

- Where would Vol be ? What plane would be linked to Vol ?

- what can the demon be ? In the adventure, the demon is nearly human in form but powerful and dangerous.

- I need a place with ice, snow, mountains and at least a tribe of humanoids.

- I need a jungle with strange dangers, strange cultures and mysteries. Aerenal ?

- I need a stony desert with a clan of creature. East of the Talenta Plains ?

- I need a place with faes, forest creatures, sprites and such. Eldeen Reaches ?

I'd like to make my pcs travel a lot around the world and see most of the different cultures of Eberron during the travel.

Thanks for helping !

While i don't know the adventure in question, based on your description i would rather make the Dead God one of the Rakshasa demons trapped in Khyber. They are supposed to be godlike in power and command demon minions you could throw at your players. As for the undead, i don't really know... Maybe this one demon is also a force of (un)death...

The idea of the Rakshasa seems good but I don't know much about them...
I'll have to get back to my monster manual :)

Thanks for the answer !

Vol isn't so much a god as the Blood of Vol is a system of beliefs. Personally I'd go with the Keeper instead, which would be tied to Dolurrh.

- what can the demon be ? In the adventure, the demon is nearly human in form but powerful and dangerous.

A tiefling blackguard, or some type of half-demon humanoid would probably work here, of course rakshasa are natural shapeshifters.

Sounds like Frostfell to me.

- I need a jungle with strange dangers, strange cultures and mysteries. Aerenal ?

Sounds like Xen'drik fits better here, maybe with a clan of drow savages thrown into the mix.

- I need a stony desert with a clan of creature. East of the Talenta Plains ?

Sounds good, I'd go with the Talenta Plains if you want to put in dinosaurs or Valenar if you don't

- I need a place with faes, forest creatures, sprites and such. Eldeen Reaches ?

Eldeen Reaches or Thelanis depending on how exotic you mant to get.

I'd like to make my pcs travel a lot around the world and see most of the different cultures of Eberron during the travel.

Eberron is the perfect place for travel.

An alternative to a rakshasa would be a Daelkyr. They're described a lords of chaos and madness, they're trapped in Khyber, and they look more or less human. It might be nice to have the PCs learn of this creature's evil during the course of the campaign, finally make it to the last battle, and have them confronted with something that looks almost celestial.

Is this an online campaign we could view? I read enough French that I might be able to steal some ideas from it...

well, qwykee just about covered everything I would have said, word for word.

Another option for the demon is a daelkyr, though this might be too powerful of an option, as the weakest daelkyr is CR 20. They are a race of beautiful human-looking fiends who specialize in creating aberrations and destroying worlds.

I agree with the Xen'drik idea, but would also like to add that Xen'drik is the catch-all continent. Anything can go in Xen'drik. It's got a massive continent-wide jungle, mountains, deserts, a sea, an arctic region, as well as giant ruins, warforged schema, several savage deadly drow clans, elves who never left, and anything else you want.

As for the stony desert, there's also the Demon Wastes, which includes many good and evil barbarian tribes, as well as the lords of dust and countless other fiends.

As for a forest, I could also reccommend Aerenal, or Q'barra, which has tribes of lizardfolk under the rule of a half-fiend black dragon.

Other than that, qwykee has nailed it.

I'll have to recommend a daelkyr, or a rajh if for some reason a daelkyr isn't strong enough (I can't imagine why not!).

I'd also recommend against using the Keeper, as the people of Eberron aren't supposed to even know if the gods even exist, let alone fight against one. Rajahs are supposed to have godlike power, if that is a requirement.

Sounds like a fun premise for a campaign if you ask me.

Daelkyr are a good idea ... but in fact I don't need a real character but more a kind of "power" or "belief".

In fact, you could but the site has closed. I can send a copie to anyone who needs it.

I'd like to go to places I know with cultures I can describe. Xendrik is the place to go when you need to find something about the past or a powerful item.

As for the stony desert, there's also the Demon Wastes, which includes many good and evil barbarian tribes, as well as the lords of dust and countless other fiends.
I will use the Demon Wastes as the "base of operations" for the invasion of creatures from Khyber.

As for a forest, I could also reccommend Aerenal, or Q'barra, which has tribes of lizardfolk under the rule of a half-fiend black dragon.
Moreover, the two are a bit linked if I didn't misunderstand.

Only in proximity. Though there are probably more than a few ancient elven relics within Q'barra, as that's around where the elves first landed on Khorvaire and fought with the Dhakaani.
