Description of the Shrine to the Traveler in Sovereign Towers in Sharn? [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-30-05, 05:06 PM One of my PCs is a follower of the Traveler, and wants to visit a Shrine in Sharn? The only mention I could find of one of these Shrines is in Sovereign Towers, however, there is no description or any information on it.

I'm wondering if anyone has made anything up? Or if anyone can point me to where that information might be?

I could immagine it like this:
Just have it be a small shrine located in Lower Sharn on two busy crossroads. The Shrine doesn't stand out a lot, and could quite as well be just another statue. The Shrine shows the statue of a cowled man or woman, whose face can not be seen from under the cowel. He or maybe she holds out her hand, as if the figure is giving something...or taking for that matter. Although the faithful of the Traveler worship him here, they do so in secret by whispering a quick prayer while passing and touching the statue. There are also rumors that at certain nights the statue comes alive and leaves the spot only to return till the dawning of the day, covered in stains of blood. Many say it is just an urban legend, but there might be some truth in it.

06-30-05, 08:00 PM If future material contradicts your interpretation, it's not such a big deal since Soverign Host worship is not practiced in a uniform way across Khorvaire due to the lack of a central governing body.
The same would be true, perhaps moreso, of the worship of a chaotic deity practiced outside normal society.
