| Save-vs-DM10-15-06, 10:40 AM | Well, I hate to waste a perfectly good thread, so I have a question for all the other people who are going to stumble upon this thread - do you plan on running anything "special" for halloween? If you are going to run something special, what do you have in mind? Personally, I'm sending my new party of characters into the Mourland for the first time ever. I might even get as cheesy as pulling in some Ravenloft material for that extra special gothic halloween fun! What about you? Save vs DM |
| The White Sorcerer10-16-06, 10:13 AM | do you plan on running anything "special" for halloween? Propably something out of Heroes of Horror as a one-shot adventure. Nothing Eberron-specific. |
| Ellorin10-16-06, 11:21 AM | No Halloween here, but as it happens around that time my players will enter a Dhakaani tomb, now a base of the Order of the Emerald Claw. Not to mention that it is already haunted. |
| Kreistor110-16-06, 12:22 PM | My players are well placed for such an adventure. They are in Karrnath investigating a necromancer with some connection to the Blood of Vol. So I really have a horror theme all month. I don't know if I can arrange the climax to occur on the 28th or 29th, though. It's an extensive adventure an they only got through 1/2 of what I expected yesterday. |
| goblin_pride10-16-06, 01:43 PM | no real plans for halloween unless you consider rallying Darguun into knocking on the Sterngate and shouting "trick or treat" into Breland |
| Pallin Rahl10-16-06, 02:10 PM | I like how I asked for some campaign help with another thread... and got 2 replies. Then, I accidentally make another post here, delete it, and basically get 10 replies. ;) Good times :D --- P.S. Now, if you're feeling good & guilty, feel free to offer me some help over at... http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=715138 ...you know you want to. :) --- For Halloween I was hoping to do a nice horror-themed game... but it's looking like my PCs might be right in the middle of something else at the time. As such, I'm considering running them through a 1-shot deal... maybe even prepare their character for them ahead of time and spring the suprise on them when we sit down to play. :D (I commonly game with my long-time friends, so they shouldn't toss a book at my head or anything for the 1-shot switcheroo :P) |
| MadLetter10-16-06, 03:47 PM | The weekend before Halloween (Samhain for me) my players will finally recognize, they are trapped in Khyber - and to be exactly in a fortress of an abberration-mastermind (a creature to be self-created, being somewhat like spider with enormous Psionic abilities). That'll be quite a trick to treat them ;) I need a camcorder to get their faces on tape... :) |
| DarkPawn10-16-06, 03:51 PM | On Halloween I'll finally let the information leak that the parties warforge fighter is actually a Cylon!! |
| eehamburg10-16-06, 04:09 PM | On Halloween I'll finally let the information leak that the parties warforge fighter is actually a Cylon!! Original version? New version? or Tricia Helfer? |
| DarkPawn10-16-06, 04:11 PM | Original version? New version? or Tricia Helfer? Hmm..haven't thought that far ahead. What do you think? :) |
| eehamburg10-16-06, 04:46 PM | Hmm..haven't thought that far ahead. What do you think? :) How could you not want it to be Tricia Helfer?   |
| DarkPawn10-16-06, 05:05 PM | How could you not want it to be Tricia Helfer?   Well as the DM and not player, I believe the introduction of Tricia Helfer to the group would cause great difficulties. Let me give examples: 1) The party would never make a spot, search, or listen check again because they would be staring at Tricia. 2) The party would fall behind in equipment on par with their level, due to giving Tricia constant gifts. 3) All new characters would have charisma as their primary stat, in order to impress Tricia. 4) The party would lack leadership, because everyone would simply ask Tricia, "What do you want to do?" 5) The party would turn upon itself whenever someone felt that Tricia possibly liked someone better then them. 6) The party would rarely have to fight against anything other then non-intelligent creatures. No intelligent creature would even think about harming Tricia, when they could be her friend. 7) The parties cleric would lose faith in the gods, because he would be worshipping Tricia instead; who is far better looking then the gods. 8) ...and finally, when someone actually tried to make a move on Tricia, she would snap their neck with her bare hands. For those reasons, I'm leaning towards the old or new centurian models. ;) |
| goblin_pride10-17-06, 07:41 AM | For those reasons, I'm leaning towards the old or new centurian models. ;) Go with the old model, that whole disco eye and retro chic is just too cool |
| eehamburg10-17-06, 09:23 AM | Well as the DM and not player, I believe the introduction of Tricia Helfer to the group would cause great difficulties. .....removed.... For those reasons, I'm leaning towards the old or new centurian models. ;) It is your choice, but I think the gaming possibilities could be endless. |
| eehamburg10-17-06, 09:24 AM | Go with the old model, that whole disco eye and retro chic is just too cool The ones in the new series have that red eye wandering thing going as well. |
| DarkPawn10-17-06, 01:42 PM | Darn it!! I just can't decide. Maybe I'll just play with Tricia a bit myself, while I think about it. ;) |
| eehamburg10-17-06, 03:22 PM | Darn it!! I just can't decide. Maybe I'll just play with Tricia a bit myself, while I think about it. ;) The patrons walk into a bar where the lone seductress wanders over to them and entrances them with her beauty. She listens to them as they revel in her sights and in the grace and fluidity of her body as she captivates them on every word.... and just when they have relaxed and let down their guard. *SNAP* she breaks one's neck with such speed that it could not be seen until it was all over. Within seconds, a dagger emerges and with lightning quick reflexes, the throats of the other patrons are sliced. Finishing up the gruesome murder as the victims now slowly die, she speaks "Never cross the Lord of Blades." Then the eyes glow red. can you tell me of a more effective assassin for the warforged but one who wears the appearance and is dressed (in all ways) as a human?? (or other race) |
