| Munz08-30-05, 10:33 AM | I hope that got some attention. I am running an Eberron game for my party of still-green-player and also may be running an Eberron game for the first time for my group of seasoned players. What I have been wanting to do to give some actual flavor for the game is compile a list. What I seek to do is pour through all the Eberron related books and come up with a list of food and drink that are mentioned so as to have an appropriate feel to when my players declare they are going to a tavern and ordering food. I mean, let's face it, you can't live on rations alone! Unfortunately, do to my busy schedule, I have not had time to do this yet. I am hoping to pledge my cause to fellow DM's in the attempt that we all can come together and use this idea for our own games. In short, I hope you'll find this idea useful enough to contribute and use for yourself as well. |
| Rechan08-30-05, 10:34 AM | I recall that in City of Towers, Daine ordered a Black Tal. There were other drinks but I donated the book to a library, so I can't look up the rest. |
| Munz08-30-05, 10:34 AM | Off the top of my head I seem to recall the Explorer's Handbook mentioning Thunderhead Shark Steak. Anybody got anything else to add? I'm looking for drinks too. |
| Munz08-30-05, 10:37 AM | Black Tal and Thunderhead Shark Steak... sounds good! Anybody else? |
| anarco_rata08-30-05, 10:54 AM | well, this are just ideas but: House Gallanda could make dinosaur eggs omelletes, they would be huge!. Of course, Aundair wine. Zilargo Stew, Deer a le reaches, Prince Fish (fryed fish from the principallites), etc. god, I'm hungry btw: the thread's name has nothing to do with its content! |
| Rathis Darkwielder08-30-05, 11:09 AM | Try looking the Five Nations book for some more national cuisine |
| a_psh08-30-05, 11:21 AM | Restaurant descriptions in S:CoT mention various foods, like blood sausages from Karrnath, and describe the general cuisine of various regions. |
| InfinityStar808-30-05, 11:33 AM | Glass Trout I think, it is a fish that is invisible, served in the glass dinning room of one of the towers of Sharn. |
| Kamikaze Chicken08-30-05, 12:26 PM | My human artificer dranks omething our dm threw in once... orcish blue i think it was called. One hell of a hang over later it was explained that normal wine made through normal processes wouldn't end up blue if it was meant for human consumption..... stay away from weird wines. KAMIKAZE! :chicken: |
| Rechan08-30-05, 12:55 PM | Just beware of Mror Ale :P |

| shadowpavement08-31-05, 09:33 AM | In my shadowrun game I invented a drink called the "Flaming German" which was served lit on fire and tasted like cinimon. I havn't had a chance to introduce my PC's to the "Flaming Thrane". Pretty much the same thing |
