| Krevon04-28-05, 07:32 PM | So I am just now getting Eberron and Sharn City of Towers. I have two sperate groups that I run and the idea came to me about swtiching worlds is haveing the two groups compete with each other. Now it also came to me that we could all be of benifit to each other by collaberating our idea into things. I am going to leave each section for a week to get let people submit their ideas and I will choose one or combine a couple of ideas and then we'll move on to the next portion of the game. 1st-2nd gaming session: How do I get the first group together(possibly the "good" team) I will need a rival organization to oppose them in their endeavors. I hope this can be fun and help us all become better DM's thanks! kegrim |

All these things we hate to be bound by, all these things we are constantly bound by... "you each have recieved a letter entailing that you, a loved one, an old warbuddy/friend, has a debt that must be payed to a single person, Velmur Merracuss, of house Median (sp? the half-elf one, mark of detection), you are to meet him at an established pub, know only as the Red Anvil... This Mr. Merracuss wants to speak in terms of payment, he says that if you come, all your debts with him will become void, he says you must hurry, time is running out, he says come armed and ready... Ready for what...? You, as the DM, must work with the players as to what the debt ultimatly is, perhaps your friend died before he could pay a loan back, perhaps this man saved the life of your mother, who knows, your player shouldn't know before hand what the debt is unless it was originally thiers to begin with... How about that..? it's dark, shady, plupy goodness, enjoy, and I look foward to hearing more on this thread, great idea... |
| James Silverleaf04-29-05, 04:18 PM | Hmm. i like the idea of a debt being payed of, but what will happen after the debt has been payed??? I would say that the PCs work for the same organisation, or was part of a platoon during the war, and therefore are friends. You could also put them together by means of education. You could send them a letter from a scholar from morgrave, the university where they all study, telling them to meet him the following night. there he tells them to work together to eliminate this thread (whatever it might be). Then he is killed by an arrow. Now the PCs will work together to find out who killed him, and to do his last wish. |
| Krevon04-29-05, 05:06 PM | I really like the idea of the debt, I don't think it should force them into affiliation though. Maybe there is an item that belongs to the house and he is going to use the PC's to take it back. This would also be a good starting point for the second party, there has been a theft, investigate and geturn the stolen property. |
